Skountzos Relieves Delavinias of Some Chips

We don't know the specifics, but it appears former chip leader Tony Delavinias took a big hit courtesy of William Skountzos, essentially evening the stacked between the players.

Tank, Tank, Tank... Tank

Seven minutes. That's how long it took Jie Gao to make a decision on the last hand. It took so long, that 3 or 4 players were eliminated during that time.

Gao was in the big blind and was faced with two shoves. That's when the tanking started. The time on the clock wound down and a crowd gathered to watch Gao simply sit there and think. Eventually Gao made the call and the three players turned their hands over.

Gao: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}
Opponent 1: {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}
Opponent 2: {k-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}

The tanking payed off in the end as the board ran out {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Spades}{7-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Gao took down the huge pot, while another two players hit the rail.

Ljubicic Busts Benton

Aaron Benton got all his chips in the middle preflop holding {K-}{J-Clubs} and was up against the {A-Diamonds}{Q-Spades} of Mario Ljubicic. The {Q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop was interesting as it gave Ljubicic top pair but provided Benton with an open-ended straight draw. Unfortunately for Benton, neither the {J-Diamonds} turn nor {5-Spades} river was what he needed and he was sent to the rail shy of the money.

Ljubicic is closing in on 100,000, which is about the chip average.

How Many Times

"How many times can you check-raise?" Is what Alex Lynskey asked his opponent as the action went down on a board showing {a-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{6-Spades}{4-Spades}.

On the flop, Lynksey's opponent check-raised to 21,000 when Lynskey led for 9,500. Lynskey re-raised to 34,100 and his opponent made the call. The turn saw Lynskey's opponent again check-raise, this time shoving all in when Lynskey bet 36,700.

When Lynskey sent the pot to his opponent, the player turned over {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}.

Guttman Sticking to the Rail

Michael Guttman is the latest addition to the rail. Nothing too exciting in this hand. Guttman was short stacked and shoved all in with {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Bernard Beh made the call with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} and the board changed nothing.

Fifteen From the Money

The tournament clock says were are down to 96 players, which means we've lost 36 players in just over an hour of player. Two of the more recent eliminations include Simon Morris and James Spiteri.
