Big Slick for Karamalikis

Jonathan Karamalikis got his stack of 7,300 all in preflop and was flipping against Dan Smith.

Showdown
Karamalikis: {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}
Smith: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

Karamalikis needed to improve, which is just what he did on the {7-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{K-Clubs} flop. Neither the {3-Hearts} turn nor {3-Spades} river gave Smith back the lead, and Karamalikis doubled to approximately 15,000. Smith was left with just 3,550.

Reiman Applying Pressure

We caught the action on a {2-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop where Ty Reiman lead out for 1,400 from the big blinds. His only opponent was in the cut-off and decided to raise to 3,200. Reiman tanked for a bit and finally put out a big stack which pushed his opponent all-in. The player in the cut-off didn't see it coming and folded after thinking for about a minute.

Reiman is one of the bigger stacks with just four tables left and he's looking to make a run for it.

Speidel vs. Rettemaier

With 1,800 in the pot and a flop of {2-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, both Marvin Rettenmaier and Oliver Speidel checked, bringing about the {3-Spades} turn. Rettenmaier led out for 1,125, Speidel called, and the {4-Clubs} was put out on the river. This time Rettenmaier slowed down and checked, opening the door for Speidel to bet 2,500. The German gave it some thought and then tossed his cards to the muck.

Badecker Gone, Cheong Gets Lucky

The facts stated above are unrelated but Badecker was sitting next to Joseph Cheong just moments ago. The WSOP bracelet winner left the table and right after that we saw Cheong all-in a hand against Dan Smith.

Dan Smith{A-}{10-}
Joseph Cheong{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

The board read {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{6-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{A-Clubs} and Cheong doubled through Smith who still has a very good stack.

Moorman Triples, Cheong Crippled

We just witnessed a three-way all-in pot that saw Joseph Cheong have both Chris Moorman and the player on the button covered.

Showdown
Moorman: {A-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Cheong: {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}
Button: {A-Spades}{5-Diamonds}

Cheong was ahead, but not after the {6-Spades}{A-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop. The board completed the {7-Clubs} and {a-Diamonds}, giving Moorman a triple up and the button the side pot; meanwhile, Cheong was left with just 4,325.

Benvenuti Eliminates Huntly

Dennis Huntly was recently eliminated after he called off his stack holding {J-}{10-} on a ten-high flop only to run into the {A-}{10-} of Michael Benvenuti. The latter is still fairly short with 16,000.
