Schemion Meets "The Croc"

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

The vacant seat to the right of Ole Schemion has just be filled, and it was taken by none other than Australian poker legend Billy "The Croc" Argyros. The young Schemion was undoubtedly unfamiliar with who Argyros was and gave him the once-over, looking him up and down. Argyros, who is wearing his standard crocodile t-shirt and has a crocodile stuffed animal on the table, caught Schemion looking him up and down and gave the kid a smile.

"You like crocodiles?" asked Schemion.

Rossiter vs. Guillen

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

On a flop of {6-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{5-Hearts}, a player in middle position checked and Team PokerStars Pro Angel Guillen did the same from the hijack. Australian Jeff Rossiter then bet 6,300 from the cutoff, the middle-position player folded, and Guillen called to see the {Q-Diamonds} turn.

Guillen checked for a second time, and Rossiter kept the pressure on with a bet of 13,100. Guillen gave it some thought but decided it was a bit too much to continue.

Kamutzki Makes a Straight

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

When we reached the table, Heinz Kamutzki led out for 5,200 on a board of {8-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}. His sole opponent called.

The {4-Spades} completed the board, Kamutzki led out again - this time for 10,000 - and the player quickly called. Kamutzki showed {10-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for a rivered straight, and his opponent unhappily mucked his hand.

Nistas at the Top of the Counts

Level 7 : 300/600, 100 ante

It's been a good day for Canadian Jimmy Nistas. Earlier he knocked out the most feared player in the world, Phil Ivey, and now he finds himself at the top of the chip counts. We're not sure how Nistas got them all, but we can tell you he's currently got 180,000 or so in front of him.

Jason Mercier and an opponent took a flop of {8-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}, and after a series of bets and raises all of the money went in the middle. Mercier was ahead with {3-Diamonds}{3-Hearts} against his opponent's {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, and the {9-Clubs} on the turn gave the Team PokerStars Pro treys full. The {2-Hearts} bricked off on the river, and Mercier picked up the pot.

The very next hand, Marvin Rettenmaier raised in middle position and Mercier called out of the small blind. The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}, Mercier check-called a bet of 2,300, and the turn was the {6-Diamonds}. Mercier led out for 3,800, Rettenmaier called, and the {9-Clubs} completed the board.

Mercier led out again - this time for 10,800 - and again the German called. Mercier showed {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} for a straight flush, and Retteinmaier revealed {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, just calling the river bet with a lesser straight flush.

The Team Pro added another pot prior to the break, and now has well over 100,000 chips.

Cracked Aces Send Khouiss to the Rail

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

We missed the action, but we do know that Sam Khouiss got his stack all in preflop holding the {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and he was primed to double against his opponent's {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}. Unfortunately for Khouiss he would be a victim of a bad beat as the {k-Spades}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop delivered his opponent a set. Neither the {9-Diamonds} turn nor {4-Hearts} river was the ace Khouiss needed, and his 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event came to an abrupt end.

Meanwhile, Jim Collopy has also been eliminated from the tournament.
