Chronis Runs Into Rossiter's Pocket Rockets

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Christopher Chronis got his short stack all in on a flop of {6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} holding the {5-Spades}{2-Diamonds} only to run into the {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts} of Jeff Rossiter, who had been steadily chipping up here on Day 3.

Chronis was on his feet to see if he could catch either a five, deuce, or four. Even though he had his fair share of outs, he'd fail to hit one as the {K-Clubs} appeared on the turn followed by the {3-Spades} on the river. Chronis was eliminated on the hand while Rossiter's stack got even larger.

No More Nistas

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Jimmy Nistas
Jimmy Nistas

David Middleton opened for 20,000 under the gun and received a call from Khylon Hanegraaf. Jimmy Nistas then three-bet all in for 110,000 from the big blind, Middleton folded, and Hanegraaf made the call.

Hanegraaf: {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}
Nistas: {3-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}

It was a bad spot for Nistas, and things only got worse when the {4-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop came down all diamonds. Hanegraaf had the bigger diamond, so he got even stringer. The {A-Hearts} turn was nothing special, and that meant Nistas needed a three on the river to stay alive.

The dealer burned one last time and put out the {2-Hearts}. It was close to a three, but not close enough.

Tymber

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Steve Tymms was just eliminated by a gentleman named The Grey Fox when the two got all of the money in the middle preflop. Tymms' {a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} was slightly ahead of the Fox's {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, and remained ahead after the {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop. The turn was the {q-Spades}, however, giving the Fox a leading pair of queens, and the {7-Spades} bricked off on the river.

A Not-So-Crazy Bust

Marco Johnson busts

"Crazy" Marco Johnson was all in and at risk with {7-Diamonds}{7-Spades} moments ago, and he was dominated by Scott Seiver's {9-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}.

The 2013 World Series of Poker bracelet winner received no help as the flop, turn, and river came {8-Clubs}{a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{10-Clubs}, exiting the Aussie Millions Main Event. Seiver is up over 600,000 chips.

Neilson Out

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Daniel Neilson was all in on the {7-Clubs}{5-Spades}{2-Clubs}{A-Spades} board with the {6-Spades}{3-Spades} against Uros Brkic with the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs}. The river completed the board with the {5-Diamonds}, and Neilson was eliminated.

Boeree Takes One from Mercier

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Liv Boeree

From under the gun, Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier raised to 12,000. Fellow Team Pro Liv Boeree reraised from the hijack seat to 28,000. Action folded back to Mercier, and he made the call.

On the {A-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Mercier checked. Boeree fired 31,000, and Mercier folded.

Five-Bet Gets It Done for Truong

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Erik Seidel opened the action with a raise to 14,000 only to have Tam Truong three-bet to 28,000 from the button. Rhys Jones then jumped in with a four-bet to 67,000, Seidel folded, and Truong pushed back with a five-bet to 128,000. It proved too much for Jones, who laid down his hand.

O'Dea Doubles Through Duhamel

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

A preflop raising war resulted in Eoghan O'Dea getting all in preflop for 240,000 against Team PokerStars Pro and 2010 World Series of Poker champ Jonathan Duhamel.

O'Dea: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Duhamel: {j-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

O'Dea was in great shape to double, but the {q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{8-Clubs} flop was cause for concern as Duhamel picked up a gutshot straight draw to a ten. The case nine ({9-Diamonds}) appeared on the turn, which meant Duhamel needed a ten and a ten only to send O'Dea back to Ireland. The dealer burned one more time and put out the {J-Spades}.

Duhamel made two pair, but it wasn't good enough to overcome O'Dea's set. Ship the double to the Irishman.

"Now We're Even"

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Antonio Esfandiari
Antonio Esfandiari

There was a raise and a call before Antonio Esfandiari three-bet to 31,000 out of the big blind. The original raiser got out of the way, the player in the small blind called, and the dealer fanned {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}. The player led out for 20,000, Esfandiari called, and the turn was the {k-Diamonds}.

The player slowed down, checking to Esfandiari who took the opportunity to bet 33,000. The bet was good enough to win the Magician the pot, but he was looking for something a little sweeter.

"You want to see?" Esfandiari asked the player, grinning.

He shook his head, but Esfandiari showed him the {8-Spades}{7-Diamonds} anyway.

"Now we're even," the Big One for One Drop champion said.

Tens Are the Last Hand Brkic Will See in the 2014 Aussie Millions Main Event

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We missed the action as it unfolded, but we do know that Srdjan Brkic got the last of his chips all in on the {9-Clubs}{8-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} flop holding {10-}{10-} and was well behind the {q-Hearts}{q-Clubs} of Andreas Lodemel. Neither the {9-Diamonds} turn nor {2-Hearts} river would change a thing and Brkic's run came to an end here on Day 3.
