Sha's Kicker Problem Leads to His Departure

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

We missed the preflop action unfold, but we do know Sailendra Sha got his stack of 74,000 all in against Kitty Kuo.

Kuo: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Sha: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}

Sha was looking for a jack, spades, or some other help, but the {10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} flop didn't do much for him. the {10-Hearts} turn opened up some chop outs, but none connected for Sha as the {7-Spades} blanked on the river to put an end to his 2016 Aussie Millions Main Event.

Rowe Rivers Hachem

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Tony Hachem
Tony Hachem

After unknown action Tony Hachem found himself all in for about 130,000 on a {2-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}{4-Clubs} flop and he got called by Martin Rowe.

Hachem: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
Rowe: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}

The board ran out {3-Diamonds}, {5-Clubs} and Rowe hit a set of fives on the river to send a very disappointed Hachem to the rail.

Koren Makes a Monster Call, Sends Bansal Packing

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Artur Koren
Artur Koren

Action folded to Artur Koren on the button and he limped in for 6,000. The small blind completed and Paawan Bansal in the big blind checked his option.

The flop came {K-Clubs}{10-Spades}{3-Spades} and the small blind checked. Bansal lead out and Koren and the small blind both called.

The {7-Hearts} fell on the turn and the small blind checked again. Bansal bet out 36,000 now and just Koren called, the small blind folded.

With the {A-Diamonds} completing the board Bansal had 96,000 left. He shoved all in and Koren had a real decision. He tanked about it for a bit, smiled and asked if Bansal had {Q-}{J-} maybe, and eventually called by tossing in a single chip.

"Good call" admitted Bansal, showing {J-Hearts}{9-Clubs} not much later.

Koren tabled {9-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and took down the pot. Paawan Bansal made his exit in 66th place, netting him AU$66,000.

Chu Stays Alive Thanks to the Turn

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

A short-stacked John Chu moved all in under the gun for 102,000 and action folded all the way around to Cankai Zhang in the big blind. Zhang thought long and hard before making the call.

Zhang: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}
Chu: {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

It was a flip, but Chu needed to improve. He didn't do it on the {8-Spades}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} flop, but he did on the {J-Spades} turn.

The {10-Hearts} river was of no consequence and Chu shipped the double.

Braun Loses 500,000 Flip Against Chidwick

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Stephen Chidwick opened to 14,000 from the cutoff and the button immediately laid down his hand. Daniel Braun in the small blind three-betto 43,000 with 209,000 behind and the big blind folded. Action was back on Chidwick and he pushed all in. Braun made the call, though he wasn't the happiest person in the world doing it.

Stephen Chidwick: {5-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}
Daniel Braun: {A-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The flop came {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{7-Clubs}, a disaster for Brown. The {A-Clubs} on the turn gave him a live flush draw, but the {3-Hearts} on the river blanked and Braun had to make his exit.

Nolte's Exit Makes Zhang a Millionaire

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Christian Nolte four-bet all in for what looked like more than 200,000 and Bobby Zhang snap-called to put Nolte at risk and in desperate shape.

Nolte: {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}
Zhang: {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs}

The flop {J-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} was of no help for Nolte, neither was the {Q-Diamonds} on the turn but a 10 would have now given him a straight. The blank {5-Hearts} river sent Nolte to the rail and Zhang's already big stack was increased further.

Monaghan Takes Aim at Kenneady

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Michael Kenneady
Michael Kenneady

We missed the preflop action, but we do know that Michael Kenneady got his stack of 123,000 all in preflop and was racing against Adam Monaghan.

Monaghan: {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}
Kenneady: {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}

Kenneady needed to improve to stay alive, and while he didn't do it on the {10-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop, he picked up a gutshot to a jack. The {5-Clubs} turn put up some chop outs to a club, but Kenneady missed as the {7-Diamonds} blanked on the river to send him out the door in 69th place.

Soucek Finds a Double

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

From middle position, Samantha Abernathy raised to 13,000. Jack O'Neill flat-called in the cutoff seat, Alexandros Kolonias called on the button, and then play folded to Lukas Soucek in the big blind. Soucek reraised all in for 129,000, and Kolonias called after Abernathy and O'Neill folded.

Kolonias had the {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}, but Soucek had the {K-Hearts}{K-Clubs} for the best hand.

The flop, turn, and river ran out {Q-Spades}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}, and Soucek doubled up.
