Tilly Gets Value

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ruzman Hussan raised to 13,000 under the gun and big blind Jennifer Tilly was the only caller. Tilly check-called a bet of 14,000 on {Q-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} before leading for 25,000 on the {J-Hearts} turn herself. Hussan called and both checked the {2-Hearts} on the river. Tilly showed {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts} and Hussan mucked.

Aristidou: {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}
March: {7-Hearts}{7-Clubs}

Wyraz Eliminated by Rossiter

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Grzegorz Wyraz moved all in for 74,000 from the cutoff and watched as the decision folded around to Jeff Rossiter in the big blind. He then thought about his decision for a minute before reluctantly calling.

Rossiter: {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Wyraz: {q-Diamonds}{10-Spades}

Wyraz found himself behind and received no help as the board ran out {3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Clubs} to see his day end shortly after the dinner break.

Boskovic Flushes It

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Dejan Boskovic’s tournament is still alive after he managed to find a flush on the river against Matt Affleck. On a flop of {8-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{k-Clubs} Boskovic got his last 84,500 in the middle and was in need of some help.

Boskovic: {5-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Affleck: {10-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Boskovic had run into Affleck’s top two pair and stood up to put his bag on in preparation for being eliminated. The {4-Diamonds} turn changed nothing but Boskovic exclaimed with surprise after the {7-Hearts} river arrived to complete his flush.

Giesbrecht Eliminated by Olson

Level 17 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

David Olson raised to 15,000 from middle position and was called by Artur Koren on the button. Sean Giesbrecht was in the big blind and raised to 36,000, leaving 1,000 behind. Olson then thought for a minute before reraising to 75,000. Koren folded and Giesbrecht called.

Olson: {6-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}
Giesbrecht: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {k-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} to see Giesbrecht gain the lead on the flop with a higher pair only to get crushed when Olson made a set of sixes on the turn.

Koren Sends Two Players Home

Level 16 : 2,500/5,000, 500 ante

Scott Davies, who survived the bubble with just one big blind and one ante, was just all in for his last 4,000. Andrew Hinrichsen on the bubble, having just lost king-ten to ace-jack, shoved over the top for 36,500. Big blind Artur Koren called to put both players at risk. While two of the players were short stacks and the third had plenty to spare, just decent hands were shown:

Andrew Hinrichsen: {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}
Scott Davies: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Artur Koren: {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}

The flop came {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, helping Koren in front and both shorties at immediate risk. The {4-Hearts} on the turn and {8-Clubs} on the river were blanks and Koren knocked out both of his opponents.

Alek Givotovsky bubbles Aussie Millions 2017 Main Event

The bubble of the 2017 Aussie Million main event lasted just one hand with Alek Givotovsky earning himself the unfortunate title of bubble boy.

The hand started with Givotovsky moving all in for 68,000 from middle position and finding a call from Stephen Bantick in the cutoff.

Bantick: {a-Spades}{k-Spades}
Givotovsky: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}

The crowd surrounded the table and watched as the dealer produced the {a-Clubs}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} board. Bantick's king-kicker would prove the difference sending Givotovsky to the rail one player short of the money.
