Kanit Dents Christner with Aces

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit raised to 55,000 and Christian Christner defended his big blind. The flop came {2-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and Christner check-called a bet of 55,000.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Christner again check-called a bet, this time for 135,000.

The river was the {j-Spades}. Christner checked and Kanit bet 450,000. Christner called but mucked when Kanit showed pocket Aces.

More for Lim; Loeser Hangs In There

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Picking up the action on the {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Hearts} flop, Mustapha Kanit checked out of the big blind and called a bet of 58,000 by Michael Lim from under the gun. On the {4-Diamonds} turn, Kanit checked once more and called a bet of 90,000 by Lim before the {A-Diamonds} river was checked entirely. Kanit flipped over {J-Spades}{J-Clubs}, but Lim had that beat with the {K-Diamonds}{J-Hearts} for a pair of kings.

In a battle of the two shortest stacks, Jack Salter opened to 54,000 and Manig Loeser came along from the big blind. On a flop of {Q-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}, Loeser checked and called a bet of 44,000 by Salter. The {2-Diamonds} turn brought no betting action and Loeser carefully shuffled his remaining stack on the {7-Diamonds} river before moving all in for around 190,000. Salter gave it some thought and sent his cards into the muck.

Lim Doubles Through Christner

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Christian Christner raised to 53,000 from under the gun. Michael Lim three-bet all in from the small blind for 378,000 and Christner called

Christian Christner: {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades}
Michael Lim: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}

Christner looked like he was taking the lead and set to eliminate another player when the ten appeared on the board, but the five came behind it giving Lim a set. The full board read {5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{6-Spades} to double Lim up.

Christner Busts Schwippert

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Jan-Eric Schwippert
Jan-Eric Schwippert

When asked earlier what the preference for the upcoming breaks was, Christian Christner mentioned that he has a plane to catch this evening and he seems to be on track not to miss it after sending Jan-Eric Schwippert to the rail and boosting his stack to more than half of the chips in play.

Christner raised to 36,000 and Schwippert shoved for 404,000. After getting an exact count, Christner called to put his countryman at risk.

Jan-Eric Schwippert: {A-Diamonds}{7-Spades}
Christian Christner: {4-Spades}{4-Clubs}

The {K-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} flop left Schwippert in desperate shape, while he picked up some outs with the {J-Hearts} turn. The {A-Clubs} on the river was too little, too late, and Schwippert was eliminated in 6th place.

Loeser Doubles Through Schwippert

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Jan-Eric Schwippert moved all in from the button. Michael Lim folded the small blind and Manig Loeser took a quick peek at his cards before calling and tabling {q-Hearts}{q-Spades}. He was up against the {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} of Schwippert, with Loeser at risk for his last 143,000.

The flop {4-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs} gave Schwippert gutshot straight outs, and he picked up even more outs on the {2-Hearts} turn. The river {k-Clubs} however ensured the double up for Loeser.

Christner and Kanit Rising

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Jan-Eric Schwippert limped from under the gun and Jack Salter filled up from the small blind, Mustapha Kanit checked in the big blind. On the {J-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} flop all three players checked. Salter bet the {7-Diamonds} turn for 48,000 and picked up two calls before the {Q-Diamonds} river brought checks all around. Kanit showed {Q-Spades}{2-Spades} for a busted flush draw and rivered top pair, which was good enough to win the pot.

Kanit limped the small blind right after and Schwippert checked from the big blind. The flop fell {Q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Kanit checked before calling a bet of 24,000 by Schwippert. Both opted to check the {8-Spades} turn and a bet of 90,000 by Kanit on the {2-Hearts} river won the pot without showdown.

Christian Christner opened to 52,000 and Michael Lim in the big blind three-bet to 142,000, Christner checked for Lim's stack and once the latter cut out the remaining stack for 435,000 behind, Christner called. On the {Q-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, Lim checked and Christner bet 80,000 in order to force a fold from Lim.

Salter Doubles Through Christner

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

It folded to big stack Christian Christner in the small blind, with short stacked big blind Jack Salter putting his hands together as if in prayer towards the German. It worked, with Christner opting to limp. Salter moved all in after a while and Christner called.

Jack Salter: {k-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Christian Christner: {a-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}

Salter spiked a four on the {9-Diamonds}{10-Spades}{4-Diamonds} board, and dodged diamonds on the {q-Clubs}{9-Hearts} runout to double his 288,000 stack.

Christner Pulls Away Further

Level 13 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Christian Christner raised to 56,000 first to act and was called by Jan-Eric Schwippert on the button and Manig Loeser in the big blind. The trio checked the {Q-Clubs}{J-Hearts}{9-Spades} flop before Loeser also checked the {4-Spades} turn. Christner made it 80,000 to go and picked up one caller in Schwippert. After the {6-Spades} river, Christner bet 350,000 and that was enough to force a fold from Schwippert and rake in the pot without showdown.

Then, Christner defended his big blind against a raise of Schwippert and check-called a bet of 38,000 on the {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} flop. Neither the {8-Diamonds} turn nor the {3-Hearts} river brought any action and Schwippert as last aggressor showed {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}, which Christner had beat with the {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.
