Max Silver had been left with a sub-20,000 stack after Ben Heath doubled through him. He has now bust and re-entered, and is now seated at Ben Lamb's table.

At one of the last tables to open, Sam Higgs and Michael Addamo were soon joined by Kazuhiko Yotsushika and Hon Cheong Lee and the latter three were involved in the following hand. Addamo raised from the button to 1,800 and was called by Yotsushika in the small blind and Lee in the big blind.
The flop fell 
and Yotsushika bet 2,000, Lee called and Addamo raised it up to 7,000. That resulted in a call from Yotsushika and a fold from Lee. After the 
turn, Yotsushika made it 5,000 to go and Addamo raised to 20,000 in order to claim the pot uncontested.

Marius Gierse raised to 1,400 and called a three-bet to 5,200 by Thomas Muehloecker. Gierse called bets of 3,700 on the 
flop and 7,000 on the turn before Muehloecker moved all in on the 
river.

Meanwhile, Max Silver raised to 1,300 on the button with 16,000 behind and Antoine Saout took a look at his opponent's stack before calling.

and both players checked. The pair repeated the action on the turn and the river was the

Saout turned over 
for a missed straight draw, and Silver's was enough to take down the pot.
A reraise to 5,000 was in front of Corey Kempson on the button and initial raiser Jonathan Karamalikis made it 13,700 to go from under the gun. Kempson called and Karamalikis bet the 
flop for 7,000. That proved to be enough to force a fold from the fellow Australian and Karamalikis raked in the pot without showdown, which he did again in the next hand on the flop as well.
"That's why you have to be back in time after the break," Marius Gierse joked to Paul Hoefer on the rail while Kristen Bicknell's stack was reduced to 3,700. Gierse was not the one to benefit in the first hand back from the break, but rather Thomas Muehloecker who doubled up.
All the chips went in preflop with Muehloecker holding the and Bicknell had the slightly inferior . The board ran out 
and Bicknell lost the remainder of her short stack shortly after.
