Fast and Colman Force Folds

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

At neighboring tables, Dietrich Fast and Julius Colman used a lot of pressure to their advantage and forced folds to boost their respective stacks without showdown.

Ludovic Geilich opened to 2,500 on the button and Fast three-bet to 9,500, which Geilich called. Fast continued for 7,000 on the {J-Hearts}{9-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop and was called before firing another 17,500 on the {5-Spades} turn, again Geilich tossed in a call. Fast then bet the {2-Hearts} river for 50,000, which covered Geilich's remaining 36,000, and the Scotsman tank-folded after more than three minutes.

At the same time one table over, there were just 6,000 in the pot and the completed board showed {A-Hearts}{A-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}. Colman bet 4,000 in the cutoff and Felipe Ramos raised to 20,000 on the button. The raise was barely announced when Colman had already moved all in and Ramos also needed more than three minutes. "You want to make me embarrassed? This is one of the worst folds I ever made," Ramos said when turning around and flashed {J-Spades}{J-Hearts} face up. Colman could all but say "wowwww" and dragged in the pot without showing his cards.

Young Takes from Lamb

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 100 ante

With nearly 40,000 chips in the middle already between Ben Lamb and Rory Young, Lamb checked the complete board of {6-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{k-Spades} to his opponent who moved all in for around 43,000.

Lamb stared at his opponent's stack, then the board, and then the chips in the pot. Eventually he folded and Young raked in the pot.

Zhang Doubles Through Harder; Zinkevich Through Solomos

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Top Set no good for Nick Solomos
Top Set no good for Nick Solomos

Chi Zhang was spotted all in and at risk for 18,700 on the heads-up turn of {10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and tabled {K-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for top pair. Christian Harder had {10-Spades}{3-Spades} for top pair with a weaker kicker and the {5-Hearts} river brought no upset.

Yury Zinkevich doubled as well after the action escalated on the three-way turn of {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. With some 28,000 in the middle, Nick Solomos moved all in for 57,700 and Zinkevich called all in for 25,500. Preben Stokkan asked for a count on Solomos but folded eventually.

Yury Zinkevich: {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Nick Solomos: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The {5-Hearts} river bricked and Solomos had to forfeit a big portion of his stack.

Serda Doubles Through Heskin

Level 6 : 500/1,000, 100 ante
Patrick Serda
Patrick Serda

Dave Heskin still has an above-average stack, however he just lost some of it to Patrick Serda. With only 6,000 in the middle, Serda got his last 11,100 in on the turn of a board {K-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts} and Heskin called with the {K-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} for top pair. Serda had the {A-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} and the blank {4-Diamonds} river changed nothing whatsoever.

Assorted Counts; Yoon on Top

Level 5 : 400/800, 100 ante

Three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Brian Yoon appears to be the current chip leader with more than three times the starting stack. "I just coolered someone," the American added when asked how he got there.

No Chance for Kornuth on First Bullet

Level 5 : 400/800, 100 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Jonathan Karamalikis raised to 2,000 and picked up one caller before Chance Kornuth three-bet to 7,000. Only Karamalikis called and the flop fell {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}. Kornuth checked and called a bet of 6,800 by Karamalikis before checking again the {6-Spades} turn. Karamalikis made it 13,000 to go and Kornuth check-raised all in for 35,000.

Karamalikis called in a heart beat and Kornuth tabled his {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades} only to find himself drawing dead, as Karamalikis had flopped the nut flush with {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}. By the time the meaningless {A-Hearts} appeared on the river, Kornuth had already disappeared from his seat and will very likely re-enter soon.

A Double for van Zadelhoff and Loeser

Level 5 : 400/800, 100 ante

With the turn showing {8-Spades}{4-Hearts}{3-Spades}{9-Diamonds}, Steven van Zadelhoff was all in and at risk for his last 6,625 and Claas Segebrecht looked him up with the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}. The Dutchman showed the {K-Spades}{K-Diamonds} and the {K-Hearts} river was no threat for van Zadelhoff, while Segebrecht tookm a small hit to his big stack.

Manig Loeser was all in for 8,800 with the {A-Spades}{8-Hearts} and his opponent from one seat over called with {Q-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}. The German had quite a sweat but the board ultimately ran out blank with {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Hearts}{10-Clubs}.
