Grafton Dropping Bombs

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante
Sam Grafton
Sam Grafton

In a button against big blind confrontation, Kahle Burns bet 1,200 on a {3-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{7-Hearts} flop. Sam Grafton check-raised to 4,600 and Burns called in position.

With the {7-Spades} pairing the board on the turn, Grafton dropped a bomb worth 17,000 within mere seconds. Burns gave it around a minute of thought before sliding in a call.

The {A-Spades} on the river completed the board. Grafton needed just five seconds to come up with a hefty bet of 38,000, which sent Burns deep in the tank. First, he seized up Grafton, who stared stoically in front of him. Burns then talked up Grafton to get some information, Grafton replied and the two exchanged some banter.

After three minutes, the Australian caved in and folded his hand to send the pot over to Grafton.

Three players put in about 4,500 preflop, and that's the amount Joe Hachem bet from the big blind on a {6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{9-Hearts} flop. Jack Salter shoved all in for a little under 40,000, and that chased away a third player before Hachem immediately mucked.

Davies Silences O'Grady

Level 6 : 250/500, 75 ante

Scott Davies opened the action with a raise to 1,200 from the hijack and the cutoff as well as Michael O'Grady in the big blind called. All three players checked the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop while O'Grady asked "are you looking for a back door flush draw?" without getting any answer from either player.

The {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn and O'Grady checked once more, while the bet of Davies for 1,700 resulted in two calls. Three-way to the {10-Clubs} river, O'Grady checked the third street in a row and Davies bet 4,300. The cutoff quickly folded while O'Grady called after brief consideration. Davies flashed {K-Hearts}{10-Spades} for trips tens and a visibly frustrated O'Grady mucked the {A-Spades}. Normally O'Grady is a grandmaster of table chat, but suddenly fell silent after being reduced to the short stack once again.

We didn't see when the money went in, but Aussie cricket legend Shane Warne busted the last of his chips with {8-Hearts}{7-Spades}, having flopped the nuts on {6-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. Unfortunately for Warne, an opponent with {k-Hearts}{3-Hearts} got there on the river when a {4-Hearts} hit.

"Whole country hates you now," a player at the table remarked.

Jackson Warne
Jackson Warne

Before the break, Jackson Warne doubled up Adriano Scagnetti, with Warne holding {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds} against Scagnetti's {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. Scagnetti flopped a set as the board came {8-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Warne was left with just 8,000 behind.

According to Warne's Instagram, he went all in with pocket tens against the Ace-Ten of an opponent, only for his opponent to river a flush.
