Hopkins Triples Up

Level 5 : 200/400, 50 ante

According to Antoine Saout, action at his table opened with a raise by James Hopkins in the hijack before the cutoff made it 3,500. A player on the button called and Hopkins shoved all in for 21,900. The cutoff shipped as well for 22,475, and the player on the button was in the tank. Finally, he put his chips in as well.

James Hopkins: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
Cutoff: {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}
Button: {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades}

Hopkins had the best of it but saw paint right away in the window. Thankfully for him, it was the {k-Hearts} followed by {4-Clubs}{9-Clubs}. The {10-Spades} turn flipped the outs held by Hopkins' opponents, but the river was a harmless {7-Diamonds}.

Steicke Gets Decimated Before Dinner Break

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

After David Steicke had three-bet to 2,600 from the small blind, the opener in late position made it 4,200 and Steicke called. The flop was {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{A-Diamonds} and Steicke checked. His opponent bet 2,500, Steicke check-raised to 7,500 and received a call after a minute.

Both players slowly checked the {6-Diamonds} on the turn. On the {9-Diamonds} river, Steicke checked, his opponent moved all in for 16,975, and the high roller called it off after some thought.

Steicke got shown {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} and had to part with nearly all of his chips.

Saout Rises Further

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Antoine Saout's raise from early position was called by two opponents on the button and the big blind. On the {3-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} flop, the action checked to Saout and the Frenchman continued for 1,500. After the fold of the player on the button, the big blind check-raised to 4,000 and Saout called.

The {Q-Spades} fell on the turn and the big blind shoved for around 12,000, Saout snap-called and flipped over the {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}. Only one out remained for the big blind with the {A-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, and the {9-Spades} river bricked off. "It's that easy huh?" another player at the table remarked while Saout approaches six digits.

Grafton Bests Burns

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

Sam Grafton bet 4,800 from the small blind on an {8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{3-Spades} board. Kahle Burns called him from the cutoff and the river brought a {3-Diamonds}. Grafton quickly announced a bet of 12,000. The two exchanged some banter that we couldn't quite hear, and Burns dropped his cards in the muck, conceding the pot to the talkative Brit.

Wysocki Hands Out a Dub

Level 4 : 150/300, 25 ante

A player in the small blind was all in for what turned out to be 24,950 with {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} on the felt when we got to his table, with Szymon Wysocki having put him at risk from late position. The two appeared to have gotten stacks in on the flop with 6,000 or so in the middle preflop.

Wysocki: {a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}
Small blind: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}

The turn was a {5-Spades} and the river a {5-Clubs} and Wysocki shook his head and shipped over a double.
