Value For Morgenstern

Level 3 : 100/200, 25 ante

The completed board showed {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{5-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} and Sherif Derias checked over to Anton Morgenstern, who bet 8,500. Derias gave it some thought and called to get shown the {A-Spades}{K-Hearts} for top pair and top kicker. That was enough for Morgenstern to claim the pot and he jumped up further on the leader board.

Derias, who finished 30th in the 2018 Aussie Millions Main Event, remains above the starting stack.

The A$ 50,000 Challenge has completed level two and the Accumulator Event #8 is down to the last five players. The Main Event followed suit and just sent the players into their second 15-minute break of the day with 140 players out of 149 entries remaining.

Gumz Sends Ngu to the Rail

Level 2 : 100/200, 0 ante

Fabian Gumz was all smiles with more than two times the starting stack while Jessica Ngu, who had just recently entered, was no longer seated. According to Gumz, he opened from early position to 500 with pocket eights and Ngu flat-called. Gumz continued for 1,000 on the {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{3-Clubs} flop and picket a call, then bet again the {J-Hearts} turn for 2,300 to get called by Ngu.

On the {8-} river, Gumz bet 9,000 and Ngu raised to 23,000 with a few chips behind. Gumz jammed with his quads and Ngu called with pocket jacks for a full house to bust in dramatic fashion.
