Kozlov Tank-Folds to Hallaert's Big Bet

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Martin Kozlov and Kenny Hallaert tangled on a {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{10-Spades} flop where Kozlov checked from the big blind. Hallaert, sitting two seats to Kozlov's left, bet 1,600 into about 5,500. Kozlov called.

The turn was the {q-Spades} and both players took about a minute before making their respective move. However, no chips were invested in the pot.

The river came {9-Diamonds} and Kozlov paused again, eventually checking one more time. Hallaert also took his time and then fired 7,500. Kozlov spent over two minutes tanking, putting the calling chips aside from his remaining stack. He would have been required to put in roughly half of his remaining chips to see Hallaert's hand, and ultimately decided to let it go.

Tickner Finds the Call Button, Picks Off Yaroshevskyy

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

After an open to 400 under the gun and a Bryce Tickner call in the cutoff, Igor Yaroshevskyy made it 2,500 in the small blind. The opener got out of the way but Tickner called for a {6-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds} flop. Yaroshevskyy bet 1,700 and Tickner called. Yaroshevskyy then bet 4,700 and Tickner snap-called on the {2-Clubs} turn. The river was a {9-Hearts} and Yaroshevskyy asked to see his opponent's stack. Tickner obliged, showing just over 13,000. Yaroshevskyy shoved and Tickner tanked about a minute then stuck in all of his chips.

Yaroshevskyy patted the table and Tickner flicked in {6-Hearts}{6-Clubs} for a flopped set. Yaroshevskyy mucked what the dealer revealed to be {a-Hearts}{k-Hearts}.

Miscikowski Eliminates One

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Both David Miscikowski (cutoff) and his left-hand neighbor had each placed 1,600 in front of them when the action was caught. A player in the big blind moved all in for just under 11,000 and Miscikowski called while the remaining player escaped.

Miscikowski was ahead with {k-Spades}{k-Clubs} versus {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and his opponent didn't improve on the {5-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Clubs} runout.

Youssef Gives Up

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Sosia Jiang opened for 450 under the gun and got a slew of callers before Carlos Youssef made it 2,800 on the button. Nitin Melwani cold-called on his left, a caller in early position came along and they took in a {2-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{k-Spades} flop three-handed. Action checked to Youssef, who bet 3,300. Melwani snap-called and they went heads up to the {2-Spades}. That card checked through, as did the {7-Diamonds}.

"You win," Youssef declared, showing {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.

Indeed, Melwani had {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}.

Kozlov Shows Quads

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

With the board reading {9-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}, Martin Kozlov bet 1,200 into about 4,000 out of the big blind. Johannes Becker (middle position) took his time to process the situation and then placed in calling chips.

Kozlov promptly opened {j-Spades}{10-Spades} for the nuts and Becker quickly mucked his hand.

Bryce Yockey
Bryce Yockey

Bryce Yockey flatted in the small blind against an open-raise from a player in early position.

The flop came {j-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and the action was picked up when Yockey check-raised to 4,000 over a continuation-bet. The initial aggressor made it 12,000 and called off when Yockey put him all in.

Yockey caught the bottom set with {5-Clubs}{5-Hearts} and he was in great shape versus {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}. The rest of the board ran out {a-Hearts} and {10-Clubs}, leaving Yockey ahead. He eliminated his opponent and increased his stack to around 75,000.

Spindler checked the {j-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop and it was Engel taking the lead with 700. Gill quickly mucked but Spindler stuck around. Jiang Barrels and Wins in Three-Bet Pot

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Action folded to the small blind, where the player there opened to 600. Sosia Jiang made it 2,500 in the big blind and they went to a flop of {8-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Clubs}. The small blind check-called 3,000 and then checked the {3-Hearts} turn. Jiang fired big with 8,000 and that convinced her opponent to give it up.

Johannes Becker made it 500 on the button and his left-hand opponent three-bet to 1,800. The action came back to Becker who paused and then announced a raise to 4,800. The small blind thought for a little bit and then laid his hand down.
