Loosli Flops Better

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Sylvain Loosli was in the cutoff, firing 3,200 into 4,500 on the {8-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{9-Spades} turn. His opponent check-called from the small blind and the {a-Diamonds} landed on the river. Both players checked and Loosli turned up {k-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}. The other player started with a pair, but his {j-Spades}{j-Spades} finished second.

Lodge Folds to Turn Aggression

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Harry Lodge checked in middle position in what looked to be a three-bet pot and faced 4,500 from the player on the button with {5-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{9-Diamonds} having flopped. Lodge peeled but then check-folded to 11,000 on the {5-Clubs} turn.

Miscikowski Bombs Away

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

With about 20,000 in the pot, David Miscikowski effectively shoved from the button with a bet of 25,000. The board read {8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{7-Hearts} and Miscikowski's opponent in the cutoff had around 19,000. He said something to Miscikowski and smiled, giving up the pot about 10 seconds later.

"You Play That S***, German?"

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

The board read {10-Spades}{7-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Warwick Mirzikinian had rivered a straight with {q-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} to survive against Max Lehmanski's {k-Spades}{k-Hearts}.

Mirzikinian had been down to his last 4,000 and Lehmanski didn't really worry about his minor loss, still sitting on more than a 90,000-stack.

Mirzikinian started laughing, saying, "You play that s***, German?"

Lehmanski smiled and Mirzkinian continued talking.

"You play that crap?"

Then he observed that "all you need is a lot of chips and a chair." While Mirzikinian remains in his chair, he still has a mountain to climb should he aim for a big stack.

Wu Cracks Set of Aces

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Picking up the action on the {5-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} turn, Stanley Wu fired 2,100 out of the big blind. His opponent raised to 4,700 from the hijack and Wu matched the price to see the river.

The {3-Clubs} completed the board and Wu led out 9,500. The other player made it 22,000, committing about two-thirds of his remaining stack. Wu immediately threw in enough chips to make a raise, but, in a rather confusing situation, both players quickly tabled their hands.

Wu rivered the nuts with {7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}, cracking his opponent's {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}. While having lost a massive pot with the top set, Wu's opponent was at least allowed to continue with his remaining chips as he hadn't called for the rest before both players' cards were exposed.

Rokita Has Top Kicker

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Roland Rokita opened to 700 under the gun and Benny Spindler (button) and Ari Engel (big blind) joined him to the flop.

It fell {q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{a-Diamonds} and Engel let Rokita fire a continuation bet of 1,200. Spindler called in position while Engel laid his hand down.

The {2-Clubs} turn saw Rokita check to Spindler who tossed in 3,000. Rokita called.

Both players tapped the felt when the {5-Clubs} hit the river and Spindler tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}. His hand, however, wasn't strong enough as Rokita had him beat with {a-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Halak Takes from Jett

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Gunter Halak checked from the big blind on the {9-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades} flop and Chip Jett bet 1,200 from two seats to Halak's left. Halak called and then check-called another 2,200 on the {7-Hearts} turn. The {7-Spades} hit the river and Jett opted to check back, turning up {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}. Halak, however, had him outflopped with {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}, finishing with a stronger two pair.

Mirzikinian Drops Two

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Warwick Mirzikinian defended his big blind and check-called 2,200 from Egor Bulychev, in middle position on {4-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}. Mirzikinian checked the {a-Clubs} and folded to 5,100, flashing the {k-Clubs}.

The next hand, Mirzikinian again played a sizable pot, this time check-calling in the small blind against Jo Snell for about 2,000 on {9-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{7-Hearts}. On the {10-Clubs} turn, Mirzikinian check-called another 4,000 and he checked the {3-Spades}. Snell bet 17,000 and Mirzikinian went deep into the tank before splashing in a call after about two minutes.

Snell showed {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flush and Mirzikinian showed the {a-Hearts} before mucking.

Young Finds Some Value

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Three-way to the river of the {q-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, the action checked to the button where Justin Young bet 2,700 into roughly 5,000. He received a call from early position and fold from late position.

Young tabled {a-Hearts}{q-Clubs} for a top pair with the top kicker, and that was enough to beat his opponent's hand.
