Chung Makes It Tricky

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Following an open-raise to 600 from the hijack, Joe Hachem flatted in the cutoff and the players in the blinds joined matched the big as well.

The {a-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{q-Clubs} flop ceased fire but Tim Chung led out 2,000 on the {k-Spades} turn, earning a call from the big blind. The other two players released their respective beholdings.

The river fell {4-Hearts} and Chung checked to his opponent who threw in 3,000. Chung, however, cut out a raise to 10,500 and his trap worked perfectly as he received a call. Chung showed {j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for the winner, adding a hefty chunk to his stack.

Jiang Misses a Big Draw

Level 4 : 150/300, 300 ante

Sosia Jiang was in early position and bet 3,800 into about 6,500 with {4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{9-Spades} on the felt. Carlos Youssef called on the button and both players checked the {5-Clubs} river. Jiang showed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} for a missed combo draw and Youssef took it with {k-Clubs}{7-Clubs}.

Miscikowski Forces a Tight Fold

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

On a board of {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}{q-Spades}, a player in the cutoff fired 3,000 into about 7,500. David Miscikowski raised to 11,000 on the button, and his opponent took nearly a minute to figure out his options.

Then he folded, flipping his hand over while sending his cards towards the dealer. Much to the surprise of the table, it was the third nuts with the {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}.

Cristallo Doubles Through van Hoof

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante

Jorryt van Hoof raised to 500 out of the small blind and Joseph Cristallo didn't waste much time before he shoved for 7,275. Van Hoof took only about 15 seconds to process his move and then decided to invest the 36 big blinds to spin with {k-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. It was a fair race as Cristallo tabled {6-Hearts}{6-Spades}.

The {k-Spades} appeared in the window, but Cristallo was revealed when the flop rolled out {k-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. Van Hoof needed running cards to beat Cristallo's set, but the {7-Hearts} turn locked the double for his opponent, leaving the {a-Clubs} river meaningless.

Spinella Caught Bluffing But Chops

Level 3 : 100/200, 200 ante
Anthony Spinella
Anthony Spinella

Anthony Spinella in the cutoff and an opponent under the gun each put in 2,500 on a {4-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop. They each checked the {2-Diamonds}, bringing an {8-Hearts}. The first player checked and Spinella bet 15,000, which covered his opponent's 11,000. That player tanked about two minutes and then tossed in a chip.

Spinella turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for a bluff, but much to his surprise, he was chopping as his foe showed {a-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}.
