Jouhkimaien Bricks Off

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Joni Jouhkimainen was in the big blind, facing a 1,500-bet from his left-hand neighbor with the flop reading {8-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{9-Clubs}. Jouhkimainen opted to check-raise to 5,400 and his opponent called.

The {k-Clubs} turn brought another shell from Jouhkimainen who made it 9,500. He got called again.

Both players checked the {2-Diamonds} river and Jouhkimainen rolled over his missed open-ender with {j-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The other player tabled {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and claimed the pot.

Yokosawa Wins With River-Bet

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Four-way to {j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}, Masato Yokosawa checked from the big blind and his neighbor bet 1,200 before a player in the hijack raised to 3,000. James Pupillo folded behind him and action returned to Yokosawa who called. The under-the-gun player folded.

The {q-Clubs} turn was checked by both players and Yokosawa paused after the {6-Spades} hit the river. Then he threw in 2,900 and it was enough to force his opponent to fold.

Wantman Picks Off Badziakouski to Double Up

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Mikita Badziakouski was in the big blind, facing off against his left-hand neighbor Matthew Wantman. The pot had already grown to around 40,000 by the time the action was picked up on the {2-Clubs}{8-Spades}{a-Spades}{q-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} river. Badziakouski stoically studied the board for a while and then slid forward a tower of chips to cover Wantman's remaining 31,750. Wantman needed only about 15 seconds to call.

Badziakouski knew he wasn't getting any piece of the 100,000-pot as he held only {9-Hearts}{9-Spades}. Wantman tabled {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} and stacked the hefty chunk of chips.

Yotsushika Over 200,000

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Kazuhiko Yotsushika has been one of the most active players in the Main Event today, consistently finding himself involved in all-ins.

He was involved in another one holding {7-Clubs}{7-Hearts} against an all-in player's {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}.

The all-in was for 23,000 and the board ran {10-Clubs}{q-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} meaning the pocket pair held up and Yotsushika moved above 200,000 in chips.

Lee Takes From Bicknell

Level 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

Kristen Bicknell raised to 1,000 and was called one way before Kuang Hung Lee in the big blind bumped it up to 5,000. Only Bicknell stuck around to see the {9-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds} flop on which Lee bet 3,500 and picked up a call. Lee also bet the {j-Hearts} turn for 7,000 to receive a call from Bicknell.

The {k-Diamonds} on the river was checked through and Lee tabled {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} for a pair of queens, Bicknell mucked.

Young Scoops a Nice One

Level 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

With about 25,000 in the middle after a preflop action, Maxwell Young fired 8,200 from the big blind on a {6-Spades}{4-Hearts}{6-Hearts} flop. His opponent called from the cutoff and the {3-Clubs} hit the turn. Young continued barrelling for 20,000.

"How much do you have? I've got about fifty. Do you have more?" Young's opponent answered.

"Pretty much the same," Young said.

After a few moments, a fold followed and Young took it down without exposing his hole cards.

Seidel Going Strong

Level 6 : 250/500, 500 ante

A player was all in on a {2-Spades}{4-Spades}{q-Hearts} flop and had been called by Erik Seidel.

Seidel held {q-Spades}{5-Spades} for a pair and a flush draw, and was up against a better flush draw with the all-in player holding {a-Spades}{7-Spades}.

The turn was the {3-Hearts} and the river {a-Hearts} appeared to give his opponent a double up for his 14,000 chips, but it had given Seidel a rivered straight and he added his opponent's chips to his stack.
