Behnert and Sinclair Latest Eliminations

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Jack Sinclair
Jack Sinclair

Michael Behnert was all in with {8-}{8-} against the {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} of Ali Ghezelbash, and failed to catch up with the board coming {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} to bust.

Meanwhile, Jack Sinclair was all in for around 35,000 with {a-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and was flipping against Joni Jouhkimainen who held {8-Spades}{8-Clubs}

The pair were discussing what flop would be "fair" to come out, but you'd guess the {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} board was not one of them, as it gave Jouhkimainen a full house. Sinclair still had backdoors to a straight flush but the {5-Spades}{j-Spades} runout did not help him and he exited the tournament area.

"He took that rather well," said tablemate Kahle Burns.

Im Coolers Tony G to Double

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Vivian Im bet 6,000 from the cutoff on {j-Spades}{4-Clubs}{8-Clubs} and Tony G check-raised to 12,000 in the big blind. Im came back with 36,000 and Tony G stuck around for the {2-Clubs} turn. That prompted a shove from Tony G, and Im took about 90 seconds then called it off.

Tony G: {7-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Im: {j-Clubs}{9-Clubs}

The river was a {k-Diamonds}, which left Tony G muttering how sick it was as he sent over 66,500, most of his remaining chips.

Doubles for Karita and Weis

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Shoshiro Karita was staring down the barrel with {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} against Dzmitry Urbanovich's {k-Hearts}{k-Spades} The {8-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds} failed to help him, but the {a-Diamonds} turn gave him a pair. The river was the {3-Clubs} and he doubled for 22,600.

Meanwhile, over at Table 33 it was the all-in player holding {k-Hearts}{k-Spades}. Oliver Weis was all in for 68,700 against Max Deveson with {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds}.

There was nothing of note on the {8-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{3-Spades} runout and Weis doubled up.

Pun Eliminated by Margereson

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Scott Margereson raised from the cutoff and called the shove of short stack Alan Pun in the blinds for what appeared to be 17,900.

Alan Pun: {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}
Scott Margereson: {q-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

The board came {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades} and that spelled the end for Pun, while the dealer gasped a "I am sorry."

Stojanovski Runs into Aces

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Peco Stojanovski
Peco Stojanovski

Thibaut Klinghammer opened to 5,000 from the cutoff and Peco Stojanovski three-bet all in from the button for around 25,000. The blinds folded and Klinghammer called.

Thibaut Klinghammer: {a-Clubs}{a-Hearts}
Peco Stojanovski: {q-Spades}{9-Clubs}

"So long guys," said Stojanovski, getting to his feet. The flop {9-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{8-Clubs} gave him a "glimmer of hope" as he put it, but the {3-Clubs}{3-Hearts} runout was not what he needed and he was eliminated.

Margereson Forces Out Hachem

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante
Scott Margereson
Scott Margereson

Action was on a {q-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} board and Scott Margereson had checked a pot of 65,000 over to Tony Hachem who bet 22,000.

Margereson thought before check-raising all in for over 300,000. Hachem gave it some thought before folding and Margereson took down the pot, chipping up to double average.

Sylvia Busts to Ullmann

Level 13 : 1,200/2,400, 2,400 ante

Jesse Sylvia headed into Day 3 as one of the shortest stacks and was all-in just now with the {a-Spades}{9-Hearts}. Nino Ullmann had an ace, too, and turned over {a-Diamonds}{10-Spades} for the superior kicker.

The {8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} board delivered no help to Sylvia and he was sent to the rail. Moments later, John Dalessandri departed from nearby table 28 to reduce the field further.
