The trophies are already being handed out at the Aussie Millions Poker Championship 2026 Presented by CrownBet, and it hasn’t taken long for the series to deliver big fields and record numbers.

Three champions have been crowned so far at Crown Melbourne, headlined by record turnouts in both the A$1,500 Opening Event and the A$2,500 H.O.R.S.E.. The $5K Six-Max — which plays to a winner day — also produced a record-setting entry-field.

The headline story so far belongs to Josh Duce, who topped a massive field of 2,144 entries to win the A$1,500 Opening Event and take home A$438,400.

The tournament generated a prize pool of A$2,787,200, nearly tripling the A$1 million guarantee and marked the largest Opening Event field in Aussie Millions history.

The players flooded Crown Melbourne for the festival’s long-awaited return after a six-year hiatus and Duce navigated a packed field that included several well-known names.

When the dust settled, he stood alone as the first major champion of the series.

Sascha Manns Adds Another Mixed-Game Title

Sascha Manns

Mixed-game specialist Sascha Manns was the man to beat in Event #2: A$2,500 H.O.R.S.E., which also drew a record turnout for the format with 64 entries building a A$144,000 prize pool.

There was a three-way deal, and then Manns eliminated Van Marcus and Gary Benson for the victory and A$34,508. The win added another H.O.R.S.E. title to Manns list of accomplishments, as the win came just a few weeks after he took down the H.O.R.S.E. Championship at the Irish Open.

WSOP Champ Mizrachi Holds Massive Chip Lead for A$5K Six-Max Finale

Michael Mizrachi
Michael Mizrachi

Another day is needed to crown a champion in the A$5,000 Six-Max at the 2026 Aussie Millions Poker Championship Presented by CrownBet, after 16 players bagged stacks at the end of Day 2 despite the original plan to play down to a winner.

Holding a commanding lead heading into the final day is WSOP Main Event champion Michael Mizrachi, who surged to the top of the counts with a monster stack of 12,675,000. Mizrachi sits well clear of his closest challengers, with Ruben Padilla (7,650,000) and Higor Siebel (6,300,000) rounding out the top three stacks.

Mizrachi has now locked up his second cash of the series after narrowly missing a deep run in the A$2,500 H.O.R.S.E. and later finishing 174th for A$3,200 in the massive A$1,500 Opening Event. He, along with the 15 other returning players, has secured A$14,730, but attention now turns to the A$341,635 top prize that awaits the eventual champion.

The money bubble burst with 41 players finishing in the payouts, and several notable names found a cash before falling short of the final day. Among those to exit on Day 2 were Johan Schumacher (21st – A$12,625), four-time WSOP bracelet winner Michael Gathy (22nd – A$12,625), and Vladas Tamasauskas (23rd – A$12,625).

Day 3 Action

Play quickly reached the final table bubble, which ended when Mishel Anunu moved all in holding a set of eights. Eng Chhor called with a double-gutter straight draw and completed his straight on the river to eliminate Anunu and form the official nine-handed final table.

Chhor picked up the first final table knockout shortly after, sending Dean Schneider out in ninth place when ace-queen held against ace-jack.

Rachael Carolan followed in eighth place for A$54,000, before Day 1A chip leader Xin Li exited soon after when another dominated ace-high hand came up second best.

Spencer Davies
Spencer Davies

Start-of-day chip leader Spencer Davies later eliminated Adrian Indovino, but his own run ended in one of the key pots of the day.

Duce moved into contention after eliminating Davies. Holding ace-king, Duce made two pair to beat the ace-ten of Davies, removing the early leader and moving himself among the bigger stacks.

Eng Chhor

Three-handed play was reached when Itsuki Aburattani rivered a one-outer to make set of tens and beat the flopped kings of Michel Booskila.

Aburattani was next to fall when Chhor flopped a set of sixes to crack pocket jacks, sending him out in third place and leaving Duce and Chhor to decide the title.

The final hand saw Duce move all in holding queen-jack, with Chhor making the call with queen-three. The board ran out in Duce’s favour, ending the tournament and confirming him as the first major winner of the 2026 Aussie Millions.
