The action has slowed down and what have the players been doing in between folding hands?
Kristy Gazes was getting a massage. Patrik Antonius signed autographs. Andy Black wandered around and joked around with railbirds. Jimmy Fricke stared off into space while doing chiptricks with his $25,000 chips. Jonas Buskas was deep in thought as he stared at the felt.
Julius Colman raised 200K from the button and Patrik Antonius moved all in from the button for 890K. Colman called. Patrik Antonius had A-A hold up against Julius Colman's J-J. He doubled up and is up to 1.8M. Colman is crippled to under 300K.
In one of the craziest hands of the tournament, there was a three-way all in on a flop of 3-3-2. Colman checked. Patrik Antonius bet 125K and Jimmy Fricke raised 1M as he brought out two stacks of 25K chips. Colman called for the rest of his chips as did Antonius.
Fricke flipped over 10-10, Antonius showed Q-Q, and Colman showed A-3 for trips. Colman was ahead and his hand held up to triple up to 495K. Antonius doubled up through Fricke on the side pot. Fricke took a $1M hit on that hand.
Gus Hansen raised 66K preflop with Pocket Jacks. Kev Atkin moved all in with and Robert Goldfarb with moved all in over the top for all his chips. Hansen has to call 265K with about 600K in the pot.
"I'm probably at my usual 18% here... I call," said Hansen
The flop was the turn was and the river was . Hansen busted both players. They both won $90,000 as Kevin Atkin finished in 16th, while Robert Goldfarb went home in 17th. Hansen has over 2 million in chips.
