Jimmy Fricke took 10-10 against Nathan Bobik’s K-K and he promptly flopped a 10. A stunned Bobik headed to the rail in 17th place as Jimmy Fricke’s amazing string of luck continued.

Shaniac Eliminated by a Brutal River Suckout

All the money went in on the flop of Q-9-2. Shaniac had Q-J and had Jimmy Fricke dominated with Q-10. Fricke caught running cards (King on the turn and a Jack on the river) to river a straight against Shaniac. That pot was close to 3M and a disgusted Shaniac headed to the rail in 19th place after getting his soul sucked out on the river. Fricke is the first player over 3M in this tournament.

A Long and Unfair Walk?

The "TV" table is a long way from the Las Vegas room here at the Crown Casino. For most of this Main Event the "TV" feature table has gone up to the Crown Tower studio, played a 90 minute round and been swapped for another table of players for the next round. Now that we are playing with fewer and fewer players, there is always the possibility of needing to balance tables.

That is what just happened. The "TV" table had six players and the other tables in the poker room had five each and then one was lost. So naturally one of the players from the "TV" table had to make the trek down to the poker room and by random draw a player who (name withheld) was not in the best of physical shape was asked no only to move but to move quickly to the Las Vegas room.

His chips arrived several minutes before he did and when he did arrive it was out of breath and thirsty. He complained to the tournament director about the disadvantage he was now under but play goes on.

One railbird was heard to say: "Why not have all the other players jog once around the room, just to be fair."

Patrik Antonius Doubles Up with A-A

Patrik Antonius doubled up against Kristy Gazes. She opened up for a 50K raise and he moved all in for almost 300K. She quickly called. His A-A held up against her K-K and his stack was up to 602K.

How many times has Kristy gotten K-K during the Main Event? On Day 1 she rivered a four flush to crack A-A with K-K.

Ville Laukkanen Eliminated in 20th Place

Ville Laukkanen was busted by Jimmy Fricke, who claimed yet another victim. Laukkanen was all in with 2-2 and Fricke called with K-7o. Fricke flopped a gutshot on a board of J-9-8. The turn was an Ace and the river was the 10 to fill in the straight for Fricke. Laukkanen finished in 20th place.

This is round five today with fifty minutes to go and then one more ninety minute level tonight. We play down by time tonight not by players remaining.

Tomorrow for Day Four we will play as many levels as it takes to reach the final table of seven players for the Friday Final Table of the 2007 Aussie Millions.
