Jimmy Fricke Stumbles

Jimmy Fricke
Jimmy Fricke
Jimmy Fricke's {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} held the lead when the money went in on a board of {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts} against Thomas Bihl who held {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}{J-Hearts}{J-Clubs}.

Fricke's aces were in front and he had the only low draw as the players went to the river. However the river handed {10-Hearts} and Bihl made a flush on the river to snatch the pot!

Jethro Gets 3/4...Eventually

Jethro Horowitz
Jethro Horowitz
On a board of {A-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{5-Spades} both Jethro Horowitz and and Sam Khouiss had flopped the wheel.

Khouiss held {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{3-Hearts} however Jethro's {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades} rivered a bigger straight so he took down the high, and they split the low.

There was some confusion as the dealer struggled to divide up the pot, as Khouiss cheekily chirped to Horowitz "It's much easier online Jethro - it does it for you!"

Graeme Putt Busts From Manilla

Graeme Putt has just made an appearance for the first time today in Event 10. He has just busted out of the 2 Card Manilla Event and immediately walked over, took his seat and counted what's left of his blinded-down chip stack.

"Chop Chop"

The cry of "chopped pot" is a very common term at the moment if you wander the tournament tables of Event 10. As me move into the first split variation, where half of the pot is awarded to the high hand and half to the low hand, many pots will be halved or even quartered between multiple players. Ideally players will be looking to "scoop" - that is, win both the high and low hands and scoop the entire pot!

Grant Levy On Life Support

Grant Levy
Grant Levy
In a six-way pot pre-flop, Grant Levy and David Bach went to showdown. The board read {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Levy held A-7-6-3 for a straight on the turn, however Bach made a full house on the river with his 6-5-4-3 to take a nice pot and leave Levy crippled.
