Horace Thomas raised to 900 from the button and Edward Mroczkowski called from the big blind after joining the tournament at the break. The flop was {9-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and Mroczkowski check-folded to a bet of 1,300 to give Thomas the pot.

On the next hand, Brian Schaedlich raised to 1,100 from early position and Horace Thomas called. Mroczkowski came along from the small blind and Jason Lee called from the big blind.

The flop was {4-Spades}{3-Spades}{a-Hearts} and Thomas bet 2,200. Mroczkowski folded and Lee called before Schaedlich got away from it. The turn was {2-Hearts}. Both players checked the turn to see {3-Clubs} on the river and Lee bet 4,700. It was too much for Thomas and he got away from it to give up the pot.

The flop was {k-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and Johnson bet 1,400. Provost called and the turn was {5-Diamonds}.

Johnson fired another 2,300 on the turn and Provost made it 5,000. Johnson called to see {3-Hearts} on the river.

Both players checked the river and Johnson turned over {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} for a set of eights. Provost mucked the losing hand and Johnson dragged an early pot.

Action was heads up with {q-Spades}{a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds} on the board and a small pot growing in the middle when Brian Arbaugh bet 1,200 from early position. John O'Neal raised to 4,000 from the cutoff and Arbaugh fired back with 8,000.

O'Neal shook his head and folded the pot to Arbaugh.

Action was three ways with around 5,000 in the pot and {a-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{10-Spades}{7-Spades} on the board when action checked to Min Zhang on the button. Zhang bet 2,000 and Brian Arbaugh called quickly from the small blind before a player in middle position got out of the way.

Zhang turned over {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} for a set of sevens to take the pot and continue the early run. Arbaugh mucked the losing hand.
