Welcome to Day 1a of the $1,500 Main Event at the bestbet Jacksonville Summer Heater Poker Series. Cards go in the air at 12 p.m. local time for the first of two flights in the flagship event of the series.
Nick Raio was the winner in the previous Main Event in bestbet’s Spring Series, when he came out on top for $60,000 in a five-way deal. No deal was needed in the first event of the Summer Series, as Bobby Tieu dominated the final table and defeated Chater Suphakorn in heads-up play to win the $400 NLH opener.
Players will start with 25,000 in chips and play 40-minute levels. Both opening flights will play until 12.5% percent of the field remains, and all surviving players will return on Sunday for the Day 2 finale at 12 p.m. local time. Day 2’s final table will be broadcast live on bestbetLIVE.
Unlimited entries are available for both flights and registration will be open until the beginning of the 10th level on each day. A 60-minute dinner break is scheduled for the conclusion of Level 9, and 15-minute breaks are scheduled after every three levels. Players may enter the Day 1b flight if they survive Day 1a, and their smaller stack will be removed from play on Day 2.
