Kalev Gets Jam Through on Break

Level 13 : Blinds 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante
Petar Kalev
Petar Kalev

Nick Pupillo opened to 8,000 from the hijack, with Ethan Yau and Yuan Yilu calling from the cutoff and button.

Sean Ragozzini then put in the three-bet to 65,000, prompting Petar Kalev to move all in for 220,500 from the big blind. Action folded back to Ragozzini, who began wrestling with himself on whether to call or fold.

The hand played well into the break, and after agonizing over the decision, Ragozzini folded, and Kalev took in the pot.

"Jacks?" asked Kalev.

"I had jacks," said Yilu, who got away from the premium hand for cheap.

Kalev and Ragozzini briefly tried to find out what each other's holdings were, but both players kept their lips sealed.

Khair Scores With Superior Suit

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

After Brandon Caputo opened to 6,500, Sultan Khair ripped in his stack for 48,500. Action folded back around to Caputo who quickly made the call to put Khair at risk.

Sultan Khair: AQ
Brandon Caputo: AQ

It was highly likely for the players to chop up the pot, but the flop of KQ10 gave Khair a freeroll with his flush draw. The turn 9 did not do it for him but the river certainly did, as it came the 7 to give him the nut flush for the double-up.

Two Pair Good for Bertini

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

On a heads-up turn with the board reading 36KA, Nadya Magnus led out for 27,000 into the pot of 55,000 and Adrian Bertoni made the call.

The two saw the river fall the 10 and Magnus checked over to Bertini who decided to check back and then he tabled AK for top two pair. This was evidently good as Magnus held a brief hand funeral before sending her cards into the muck to award Bertini the pot.

Laskowitz Doesn't Think He Can Fold

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Ryan Wolfson opened to 7,000 from the button and Samuel Laskowitz defended his big blind.

Laskowitz check-called for 6,000 and 23,000 on the flop and turn for the final board to read A936J.

Laskowitz checked for a third time before Wolfson jammed for 53,500.

Laskowitz removed his hood at the spot, "I don't think I can fold," he agonized before calling.

Wolfson immediately informed his opponent that his call was good and tabled 55. Laskowitz had the A10 for top pair and took in the pot.

Unexpected Chop from Jattin and Weng

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Bin Weng opened to 6,500 from the hijack and was then three-bet to 19,000 by Farid Jattin on the button. Weng then decided to put in the cold four-bet to 44,000 which Jattin called after some thought.

The flop came out 10105 and Weng continued for 23,500 and Jattin made the call to see the 10 appear on the turn.

Weng fired again for 35,000 and Jattin went into the tank for a bit before setting out calling chips. The river fell the 3 and both players decided to check and tabled their cards.

Weng rolled over A5 for tens full of fives while Jattin flipped over 65 for the same full house for the players to chop the pot.

Jaffee Climbing the Counts

Level 12 : Blinds 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante
Jared Jaffee
Jared Jaffee

Jared Jaffee opened to 6,000 from early position and was called by Tuan Phan, Bahbak Oboodi and David Lee from the hijack, button and big blind respectively.

Lee led out for 6,000 on the 1053 flop which prompted Jaffee to raise to 21,000. Phan and Oboodi folded before Lee jammed for around 30,000. Jaffee quickly called.

David Lee: QJ
Jared Jaffee: KK

Jaffee would need to dodge Lee's flush outs to score the knockout and he managed to do so as the board ran out with the 65.
