Stephen Song opened to 225,000 and then Kevin Berthelsen moved all in for 1,475,000 and when action got back to Song he snap-called to out Berthelsen at risk.
Kevin Berthelsen: 10♥10♠
Stephen Song: A♥K♦
"My, God, it's always a flip at this table, everyone has monsters!" Song exclaimed.
The flop came out 10♦8♠J♥ to give Berthelsen a strong lead with his set of tens. He then managed to fade the queen on the 3♠7♦ runount to score the big double-up to stay alive.
There was 1,300,000 in the pot on the 7♥5♦9♥2♠10♠ completed board. Stephen Song led out for 1,200,000 from the big blind and after some deep thought, Leo Taffe called from the cutoff.
Song had just king high with his K♥8♣, Taffer had a pair of nines with his K♣9♣ and won the pot.
Kevin Berthelsen opened to 225,000 and then Nolan King moved all- in to his left for 1,125,000 and action folded to Mike Vanier.
Vanier paused for a moment before announcing that he was all in as well and the action shifted back to Berthelsen. After a few moments of pained deliberation, Berthelsen looked at his cards one last time before he tossed them into the muck.
The other two players' cards were then tabled, with King at risk of elimination.
Nolan King: 4♦4♣
Mike Vanier: K♥K♣
"Dang is that king-king over there? Wow, ok, I'm going to need a four of hearts on the flop please," King commented as the dealer began to lay out the board.
The runout of 2♠6♦Q♠A♦6♥ was of no use to King and he was eliminated in 12th place for a payout of $44,323.
Joshua Boulton jammed for 1,300,000 on the button. Mike Vanier rejammed from the small blind and Stephen Song folded his big blind for the cards to be tabled.
Boulton had the A♣2♥ and was ahead of Vanier's K♦Q♦. Neither player connected on the J♣8♣8♦4♠5♦ runout and Boulton collected the pot.
Soon after, Stephen Song opened to 225,000 from the button and called off his 2,225,000 stack when Nolan King moved all in from the big blind.
Stephen Song: 8♦8♥
Nolan King: A♥9♦
Song had King drawing dead following the K♥8♠3♦ flop and the K♦7♦ completed the board.
Leo Taffe opened to 160,000 and Justin Young moved all in for 1,200,000 and the other players quickly got out of the way while Taffe did not hesitate to call.
Justin Young: 10♥10♠
Leo Taffe: J♣J♦
This time Young found himself on the other side of the flip against the same adversary, and unfortunately, he could not improve with the K♥8♥6♦5♠6♠ runout and he was eliminated in 13th place.
Joshua Boulton opened to 160,000 from the cutoff and Ivan Galinec defended his big blind to the K♦Q♦3♦ flop. Galinec check-raised to 200,000 after Boulton bet 80,000. The latter called.
The 6♣ turn checked through to the 2♠ river. Galinec bet 450,000. Boulton wasn't too pleased at the spot but called.
Galinec turned over K♥6♠ for kings and sixes, which was good as Boulton mucked.
