Dever Doubles Before Break

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Cathy Dever
Cathy Dever

After Cathy Dever opened from late position and got one caller, the big blind in Seat 7 raised to 3,900. Dever jammed for 41,800 total and after some thought, the caller on her left folded. Seat 7 also took a moment before calling, showing {a-Clubs}{q-Spades}. Dever's {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs} was ahead, but about even-money.

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}{4-Spades} and missed both players, so Dever's pocket pair was good to take the pot. She doubled up to about 90,000.

Flight C players are now taking a 15 minute break.

Vasserman Down, Rivera Up

Level 4 : 200/400, 400 ante
Eric Rivera
Eric Rivera

Ilya Vasserman called a river bet with his {q-}{j-} on a board with two queens and three spades. "Flush?" he asked his opponent. Sure enough, the other player produced {a-Spades}{4-Spades} for the nut flush to take the pot. Vasserman was left with only about 20,000.

On the turn with a board of {q-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} Eric Rivera moved in from the small blind and his opponent in Seat 2 (cutoff) gave it some thought, then folded. Rivera chipped back up to ~100,000.

This is Rivera's first tournament since he spent two months in Las Vegas this summer, so he's ready to rock. He's calling his shot, "guaranteeing the final table".

Yarom Singes Singh

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Melisa Singh
Melisa Singh

In a battle of the blinds. Melisa Singh opened from the small and Bruce Yamron called from the big. The flop fell {4-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{x-Hearts} and Singh fired 20,000, which Yamron called.

Turn was offsuit, {7-} and all the chips went in. Singh had {a-Hearts}{q-} for the nut flush draw, but Yamron had made a straight on the turn with his {6-}{5-}.

The river bricked and Singh was felted, but we expect she'll be back. Yamron has doubled his starting stack here early in Flight C.

Miller on Second Bullet - Today

Level 3 : 200/300, 300 ante
Igor Miller
Igor Miller

Somehow Igor Miller managed to get all of his 100,000 starting stack in on the second hand he played today — and lost. He had pocket Jacks and ran into pocket Queens.

The board brought no salvation and he was felted...but thanks to the re-entry feature of this event, he's already back in a new seat with a fresh 100,000 stack.
