Sebastian Ruthenberg was down to just 90,000 and in desperate need of a double up. He didn't get that, but he did pick up some crucial blinds and antes.
First, the German pushed from the big blind after the small had limped, and on the very next hand he pushed from the small blind to once again pick up the shrapnel already in the middle.

After doubling up Francesco Cirianni earlier on with versus , Ludovic Lacay was left a little short, those final chips going in when he found in the cut-off. The big blind found , which flopped a flush draw before sealing the deal on the river.
Dan Drescher raises to 15,000 from the cut-off and Alexander Andermatt moved all in for a total of 81,500 from the button. Ludovic Lacay reraised to 180,000 from the small blind and Drescher tanked before eventually calling for his tournament life also.
Lacay:
Drescher:
Andermatt:
The board ran out and Drescher scooped a pot worth around 400,000 as Andermatt was eliminated and Lacay left with just 70,000.
Now that we're approaching the nitty-gritty, and the monies on offer are starting to look a little more enticing, play has slowed down considerably with players taking much longer over their decisions.
Fredrik Nygard raised to 16,000 from UTG+1, Domenico Iannonne flat-called one seat down and Georgios Gatselos pushed all in from the small blind. Nygard called and Iannonne let them do battle alone.
