Ruthenberg Pushes

Sebastian Ruthenberg raised to 14,000 Juan Maceiras reraised to 40,000 preflop only for Sebastian Ruthenberg to push for a total of 145,000. Maceiras let it go.

Alexiou Konstantinos Doubles Through

Alexiou Konstantinos
Alexiou Konstantinos
Alexiou Konstantinos made a standard preflop raise from middle position and Ludovic Lacay called on the button. Both players checked the {J-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop before Konstantinos led for 40,000 on the {A-Spades} turn. Without too much hesitation, Lacay grabbed a stack of yellow 5,000 chips and added an additional 100,000 to the pot. "All in"... "Call"... we had a showdown, the Frenchman in piping hot water with {A-Hearts}{7-Spades} versus {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}. The {K-Clubs} river made no difference, and Konstantinos doubled through.

Not A Full Hour...

Play will be restarting with 43 minutes and 39 seconds on the clock today and we'll playing down to our TV final table which is eight. Sometimes the day is quick, other times it can take a while...

Czeching In

Good morning (just) peeps and welcome to snowy Prague. Yes, the EPT may be hitting Bahamian shores next month, but today the Speedos are at the very back of the suitcase with scarf, woolly hat and Eskimo boots the order of the day.

Inside the Hilton, however, the central heating is on full blast as the remaining 32 players prepare for battle. As always, the TV table has delayed the start of day's play, but nevertheless, the players are now all seated and we should be ready for the off in the very near future.

Brace yourselves, it could be a bumpy ride.

Fredrik Nygard Heads the Pack

In a week which has borne witness to an ever-changing spot at the top, it is Finn Fredrik Nygard who pips Frenchman Ludovic Lacay to the chip lead with a highly impressive 609,500 as we dive headfirst into Day Three.

Although the likes of Dario Minieri and Johnny Lodden departed at the very end of the day, there are still plenty of danger men left in the field including Joris Jaspers, Juan Maceiras and EPT Barcelona victor Sebastian Ruthenberg.

Of course, there are also a few dark horses still plugging away, with my personal tip (I am never wrong... well, sometimes). being young Canadian hotshot Andrew Alan Chen who currently boasts a credible 222,500 in chips.

Anything can happen in poker though, and any of the remaining players can still get their name enscribed onto that shiny silver trophy, but to find out who that man is, there's only one place to catch all the action.

Join us tomorrow at 12pm sharp as we whittle our way down to that final table. Until then, nighty night.
