Get Back in There

The players are back in their chairs and our shoddy internet won't keep us from telling you what's happening in there! The tentative plan is to play three more levels with one more 15-minute break in the mix.

Level: 7

Blinds: 300/600

Ante: 50

Aye Caramatti

Nicolo Caramatti bet 2,500 on a {9-Spades} {5-Spades} {K-Spades} flop and his opponent called, leaving himself just a shade over 7,000 behind. Come the {K-Hearts} turn Caramatti bet 7,000, and his opponent quietly folded.

With that, Caramatti is up to around 100,000.

Tournament Tidbits

There are 195 players remaining.

Daniel Negreanu has not fared well in battling the after-dinner coma. Negreanu is nearly asleep in between hands, often closing his eyes and rubbing his temples. That buffet is not to be trifled with.

Dominik Nitsche's seat is now occupied by an entirely different human being. There's no sign of Nitsche, and we think it's safe to say the LAPT Mar del Plata champion will not be winning his first EPT at this stop.

There are a big group of players huddled around the 90,000-chip mark, including EPT Kyiv champion Maxim Lykov, Yury Kerzhapkin and Team PokerStars Pro Johannes Strassmann. We've yet to spot anyone over 100,000 though.

And, finally, disregard that last sentence. As we were mid-sentence, we found Bernhard Perner stacking up a big pot to move to 143,000. He's the clear leader in the room.

O'Brien O'Busted

We arrived tableside just in time to see Dan O'Brien all in on the flop against Maxim Lykov.

O'Brien: {A-Spades} {A-Diamonds}
Lykov: {Q-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}

Board: {5-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {9-Spades} {8-Clubs} {2-Hearts}

O'Brien's head briefly sank to the table before he stood up and took his leave.

Lykov is up to just about 90,000.

Sarwer Creeping Up

Creeping
Creeping
Ljubomir Josipovic opened for 1,150 on the button and Jeff Sarwer called from the small blind. Both players checked the {J-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {7-Clubs} flop but come the {J-Clubs} turn Sarwer quickly checked his hole cards before betting out 2,200. Josipovic duly folded, and Sarwer crept back up to 38,000.

ShoutBox Riddle

Since there's some life in the ShoutBox over there, how about a little poker riddle, courtesy of Daniel Negreanu?

Negreanu just folded {3-Hearts} {6-Hearts} in an uneventful hand, sparking another few minutes of interesting table chatter. "That reminds me of a riddle," he began, pausing for a minute to make sure he had it right. "Okay, you're playing Omaha, and you're dealt 3-3-3-9. What are the only three boards that will give you the nuts?

Before we tell you our answers, can anyone out there in ShoutBoxland come up with them?
