Karamuca Busts

Artur Karamuca had just 51,000 when he shoved under the gun - and he nearly got away with it. It folded all the way around to Francesco Notaro in the big blind, who decided to make the call.

Karamuca: {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}
Notaro: {3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}

Board: an unbelievably entertaining {k-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{3-Clubs}

Karamuca flopped a flush draw, but Notaro flopped a set and turned a full house, leaving Karamuca drawing dead. Notaro was so busy shaking his newly busted opponent's hand that he didn;t even see that he'd made quads on the river.

Luis Rufas Hides a Set

We caught this action slightly late. The board was flop was {5-Diamonds} {a-Clubs} {9-Hearts} and the turn had also been dealt {10-Diamonds}. The action was on Ognjen Sekularac who bet 77,000 and Andrey Danilyuk made the call. Luis Rufas was next to act and he moved all-in for 178,000. Sekularac folded and Danilyuk called.

Rufas: {5-Spades} {5-Hearts}

Danilyuk: {a-Hearts} {10-Clubs}

The river was {q-Diamonds} and Rufas doubles up and leaves Danilyk crippled.

Bryn Kenny Loses Back to Back Pots

It has been a bumpy ride today for the man who started the day at the head of the leader board - Bryn Kenny. Kenny, who has had a fantastic year, has just lost two big back to back pots. Here is the action as it went down.

Shander de Vries opened in middle position to 25,000 and Kenny made the three-bet from the Big Blind to 50,000 and de Vries called. The flop was {7-Diamonds} {9-Hearts} {9-Clubs} and both players checked. The turn was {10-Clubs} and again both players checked. The river was {j-Spades} and Kenny again checked and de Vries made a bet of 46,000. Kenny counted out a raise of around 130,000 and started pushing it over the line.

"Call." Snapped De Vries and turned over a straight {k-Spades} {q-Diamonds}. Kenny mucked his hand.

Then in the second hand all the chips went in pre flop with Lari Sihvo holding {a-Spades} {8-Clubs} and Kenny {5-Diamonds} {5-Hearts}. {a-Hearts} {k-Hearts} {q-Diamonds} {4-Hearts} {j-Spades} and Kenny was shipping another 234,000 over to Sihvo this time.

"It's Not Over 'Til It's Over"

Matthias De Meulder
Matthias De Meulder

The very next hand after his crippling, Matthias De Meulder went all in from the small blind for just 48,000 to a 36,000 raise from Allan Sice. Sice made the call, and they were on their backs.

"C'est pas mal, c'est pas mal," a railer told De Meulder as he patted the Team PokerStars Pro on the back.

De Meulder: {q-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}
Sice: {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}

Board: {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}

"Allez," said De Meulder's railer sombrely, and left the table.

"I lose the gigantic ones and I win the small ones," lamented De Meulder as he doubled up to 110,000 - nine big blinds. "OK. It's not over 'til it's over."

De Meulder Flattened

Team PokerStars Pro, Matthias De Meulder's tournament life is now hanging by a thread after he lost a vial coinflip against Candido Gonçalves.

We were attracted to the cry of "all-in and call" and when we arrived at Table 33, we saw De Meulder was holding {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and was up against Gonçalves' pocket fives.

By the river the board read {10-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and the Belgian Team Pro was left with just 60,000 chips, or a five big blinds. He has been very active in the last few orbits, it looks as if it may have costed him a shot at the title
