2010 PokerStars.net EPT Barcelona
If you need to use the bathroom or want to stand in the foggy, tiny smoking room for a bit, now is the time to do it.
Back in 15.
The action has slowed down somewhat as the players become deeper stacked but one player has just taken advantage of that.
Lari Sivho opened on the button to 26,000 and then wasted no time in moving all-in when Shander De Vries three-bet from the big blind to 66,000.
Sivho is an unknown on the live circuit, with this event being the first time he has cashed in a major tournament. As things stand now he is guaranteed to walk away with no less than €15,000.
Making the money here at EPT Barcelona means De Vries has now cashed twice in EPT Main Events, with his previous cash being a 27th place at the 2008 EPT Prague for €11,000.
Don't worry you are not seeing double posts. Team PokerStars Pro Matthias De Meulder just has one of those stack sizes that deserve a good shoving every once and a while.
This time he had all of his money in the middle holding pocket Jacks and was called by the
of PokerStars Online Qualifier Francesco Notaro.
No Ace turned up on the board and De Meulder was back to 160,000 but don't be surprised if we see it in the middle pretty soon.
The exits continue to come thick and fast, and although we don't want to jinx things, it feels as though we're due a slowdown.
Jinxing aside, though, the latest casualty is Federico Cipollini of Italy. He went all in with
on a

flop, but Jorge Lores was holding
for a set and made the call. Cipollini experienced no miracles on the
turn and
river, and he was gone.
And just a couple hands later, a short raising war between Drasutis Tauras Narmontas and our friend Jorge Lores culminated in a preflop showdown, Narmontas revealing
and Lores turning over
. The first card out of the deck was an ace, and Lores was up to around a million, roughly doubling his stack in two hands.
Bryn Kenney has not been winning as many pots as yesterday, in fact quite the opposite is true, but a fantastic call just now could give him the confidence to push on and accumulate some chips.
With the board reading

, Kenney bet 72,000 chips, only to see his Italian opponent, Marco Bognanni, raise to 186,000. Kenney went deep into the tank before making the call.
As soon as he did his opponent said, "Great call," before flashing him
for a complete bluff. Kenney had made the call with
and is now up to 720,000
Giuseppe Pantaleo has just doubled up his stack of 337,000 after his
beat the
of Drasutis Tauras Narmontas in a pre flop raising war.
The board was a harmless
leaving Pantaleo with ~680,000 and Narmontas a much smaller 260,000
Drasutis Tauras Narmontas took on Konstantin Puchkov and won, taking him to over 600,000 chips.
Joining the action on a

flop and with 180,000 chips already in the pot, Narmontas, sat in the small blind, bet 68,000 and was quickly called by the Russian Puchkov on the button.
Turn:
After sitting motionless for slightly over a minute, the Lithuanian Narmontas announced he was all-in and pushed his 300,000 stack into the middle. Puchkov looked away from the table and flicked his cards into the muck. No need for him to worry though, he still has 1,240,000
Not long after doubling up through Allan Sice, Team PokerStars Pro, Matthias De Meulder has doubled up once again!
The action folded to him in the small blind and he moved all-in for 130,000 and was quickly called by Jesus Cortes Lizano in the seat next to him.
De Meulder:

Lizano:

"At least I'm live," said De Meulder
Flop:

- Two clubs on the flop gave De Meulder some more outs to a flush
Turn:
River:
- Bingo for the Belgian as he completes his flush to boost his stack to around the 270,000 mark. Lizano on the other hand drops to 700,000.
The flop read

when we arrived, and Per Linde was all in against Russian powerhouse Konstantin Puchkov.
Linde:

Puchkov:

Turn:
River:
Linde's flush never came in, and he hit the rail.
