Erik Van Den Berg Has Been Eliminated

Erik Van Den Berg has been eliminated in very unfortunate circumstances. Pascal Lefrancois opened with a raise from late position to 20,000 and Van Den Berg moved 69,000 all-in from the Small Blind. Lefrancois made the call and tabled {a-Clubs} {9-Clubs} and Van Den Berg showed {a-Diamonds} {k-Spades}.

The flop was {6-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. The turn was {a-Hearts} and then the river that Van Den Berg was dreading {9-Spades} turned up and he was eliminated from the tournament.

Conlon

We have lost another player, this time Christopher Conlon of the UK is the man who has lost his chips, with Per Albin Linde being the beneficiary.

The action folded around to Conlon in the small blind, who moved all-in for around fifteen big blinds, a bet that Linde quickly called.

Conlon: {k-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Linde: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Flop: {2-Spades}{10-Spades}{2-Hearts}

Turn: {9-Hearts}

River: {2-Diamonds}

With that Linde, the man who finished 13th at the 2010 EPT San Remo, moves up to 470,000 chips

Balotin Emptied

Ben Warrington, yesterday
Ben Warrington, yesterday

A short raising war between Ben Warrington and Leandro Balotin saw the latter all in. It didn't look good from the start.

Warrington: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Balotin: {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}

Board: {8-Diamonds}{k-Spades}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts}{5-Clubs}

Warrington is still below average after that - it looked like around 300,000 while he was still stacking them up - but he's doing better than Balotin, who is busted.

Its a Spanish Affair

Pedro Javier Piazuelo Ferrero opened to 34,000 in early position and Jorge Lores made the call from the Small Blind before Juan Ramon Marquez Garcia shoved all-in from the Big Blind. Ferrero also moved all-in and forced Lores out of the pot. Ferrero tabled {a-Hearts} {10-Spades} and Garcia tabled {j-Diamonds} {j-Clubs}. The flop was {5-Hearts} {2-Hearts} {7-Hearts} giving Ferrero flush outs to go with his one over card. The turn was {7-Diamonds} and river {9-Spades} and Garcia doubled up and at the same time crippled Ferrero.

In the next hand Ferrero moved all-in and the action folded around to Garcia who called. Yet again Garcia had the best hand with {a-Hearts} {k-Hearts} against the {k-Clubs} qd] of Ferrero. The flop of {a-Spades} {a-Clubs} {9-Hearts} crushed Ferrero and {2-Spades} and {j-Diamonds} were no consolation to the Spaniard.
