Double up for Coraci

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Joe Coraci has just won a 250,000 pot when he got it all-in good against Cole Robinson.

Coraci: {a-Diamonds} {a-Hearts}
Robinson: {q-Hearts} {q-Diamonds}

The board remained clean for Coraci who has 250,000 chips - Robinson still has a healthy stack though.

Clubless

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Maurizio Biasi has just won a decent sized pot from Kevin Vandersmissen. Both players were searching for a club to make a flush, both missed, but Biasi hit a little piece of the board.

We caught the action on the turn with a board of {5-Clubs} {2-Clubs} {j-Diamonds} {6-Spades} and Biasi check-called a 24,000 bet from Vandersmissen. Both players checked the {10-Diamonds} river and Biasi won the hand with {8-Clubs} {6-Clubs}. Vandersmissen was holding {9-Clubs} {7-Clubs}.

Joentausta Plays the Knave

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Aku Matti Joentausta just knocked out Alberto Musini with {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} against {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} on a board of {6-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-Clubs}. We've got 154 players remaining, remember only 144 will be getting paid.

Double Up x 2

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Nicolas Yunis has just doubled up Jonas Linde-Fink. He raised to 8,200 holding {q-Diamonds} {4-Diamonds} and Linde-Fink moved all-in for 22,000 holding {7-Hearts} {7-Spades} and Yunis made the call. The pair of sevens winning the pot for Linde-Fink.

Govert Metaal has just doubled up Abhishek Khaitan. Khaitan had 26,600 with {k-Diamonds} {j-Hearts} and Metaal had a pair of nines. A king on the flop giving Khaitan the lead and he stayed ahead throughout the entire hand.

Sudworth Trebles

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

James Sudworth will be picking the PokerNews lottery numbers this weekend, he was just al-in with {q-}{q-} vs the {a-}{a-} of Nicolas Chouity and Thomas Mercier's {7-}{7-}. Sudworth caught a queen on the flop to scoop completely and last year's grand final winner looked slightly depressed.

Chouity cheered up slightly when he eliminated Maurizio Agrello with {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds} against {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} on a {3-}{6-}{7-}{3-}{3-} board.

Chip Leader in the Early Action

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 400 ante

Georgios Manousos started life as the chip leader and was dealt under the gun in his first hand. He raised to 8,700 and Max Heinzelmann called in the big blind. The flop was {k-Spades} {9-Hearts} {9-Diamonds} and Manousos bet 8,800 to win the pot.

Then in the next hand there was a raise and a call before Manousos defended his big blind. The flop was {8-Hearts} {4-Diamonds} {3-Diamonds} and all three players checked. The turn was the {9-Clubs} and Manousos bet 8,900 and only one player called. The river was the {4-Clubs} and Manousos bet 15,700 and his opponent called. Both players flipped over the same hand {9-} {7-} and shared the pot.

Day 3 Dawns

Georgios Manousos
Georgios Manousos

Good morning and welcome back to the Casino San Remo where things are on the verge of getting serious.

Yesterday we finished up with 164 players - that's just 20 places shy of the money. In the lead as we head towards the bubble is young Greek Georgios Manousos. After an action-packed Day 2 which saw the chip lead change hands repeatedly between Ruben Visser, Carter Phillips, Simeon Naydenov, Victor Ramdin and Kevin Vandersmissen, Manousos is the man to beat with 573,900. His dad, who was enthusiastically railing him yesterday and sneaking into the tournament area to check up whenever possible, must have already exploded with pride. We hope he's OK.

Also still in the running are Fabrice Soulier, Joe Cada, Max Heinzelmann, Ted Forrest and Vanessa Selbst. Five former EPT champions remain in the field - David Vamplew, Roberto Romanello, Carter Phillips, Max Lykov and Nicolas Chouity - meaning that we may yet see someone do the double.

Play is due to resume at noon. Don't go anywhere.
