The Kamal Clutch

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Kamal Choraria has won two big pots, first doubling up with {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} through David Rubitin's {a-Spades}{10-Spades} on a {8-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} board. Then a couple of hands later Rubitin bluffed off 200,000 to him on the river of a {k-Spades}{10-Clubs}{a-Clubs}{6-}{3-} board with {k-Hearts}{q-Spades} against {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Meanwhile Fabrizio Cataldi has doubled up with {a-Spades}{k-Spades} to about 600,000 after Rocco Palumbo set him all in from the small blind with {8-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. The board coming {j-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{a-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} - now Palumbo is the short stack.

Kurko of Horrors

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Kimmo Kurko
Kimmo Kurko

Finland's last hope in this EPT has gone, with Kimmo Kurko getting his very last in with {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts} against Andrew Teng's {a-}{q-}. The flop came down {3-}{3-}{9-} but the turn was a {q-}, and with no miracle on the river (a {2-}), Kurko hit the rail.

Teng is at an impressive 1.9 million now.

Heinzelmann Flies High While Rocco Palumbos the Depths

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Max Heinzelmann
Max Heinzelmann

Max Heinzelmann has doubled up again, this time with {q-}{k-} against Rocco Palumbo's pocket {7-}{7-} on a {4-}{2-}{k-}{k-}{5-} board. You've got to flip good to go deep in tournaments, and the EPT Berlin runner up is flipping better than a McDonalds employee of the month - he's back up to 750,000, while Palumbo is down to 485,000.

In Russia, the Bolzoni Kicks You

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Leonid Bilokur
Leonid Bilokur

Diego Bolzoni raised under the gun and it folded around to Leonid Bilokur in the big blind, who reraised - suspicious, given the shortness of his stack. Nevertheless Bolzoni went all in, Bilokur snap-called all in, and they were on their backs.

Bolzoni: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Bilokur: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

Board: {3-Clubs}{k-Spades} bink! {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}

Bilokur duly busted and now has €20,000 that he did not have previously, as well as a bad beat story to tell all his friends. Bolzoni has 1.45 million.
