Under the gun, Andre Akkari opened to 12,000, and he was called by both Vytautas Milvydas and Ali Amelipour, the latter coming along in position on the button. In the big blind, Maurizio Sepede looked down at

There was no funny stuff on the
board, and Akkari had doubled up, earned a knockout, and moved his way to about 260,000.

Former November Niner Filippo Candio, UKIPT Cork winner Sam Rasavi and EPT stalwart Kenny Hicks
were all out of the door before Selbst.
Rasavi Tweeted this about his exit: "Out 91st for e10k. AQ into 77 didnt hit".
We'll be updating the Payouts tab all day today. So click above or here to find out where every exit in the money finished.
Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst is out!
James Hartigan, the voice of the EPT commentary, brought us the news of her exit. The details are a little vague as even Mr Hartigan has trouble getting close to the TV set, but she got it in good with
to Juan Navarrete Azon's
. A jack appeared on the flop and no king came to her rescue.
Azon is up to 408,000 chips as a result.
Our fly on the wall over there at the featured table (EPT commentator James Hartigan) has brought us some news from the frontier. Vanessa Selbst was apparently mixed up in a big pot with Javier Contreras, and things did not go at all well for the Team PokerStars Pro. We don't have many details other than to tell you she's slipped all the way back to 200,000. Still, 30 big blinds would appear to be plenty of chips for her to work with right now as the field shrinks under 80 players remaining.
Contreras had 360,000 chips at the last break, so it's conceivable he could be up as high as 700,000 chips right now. We'll give him a good countdown once the players and production staff step away for the upcoming break.

Matthias De Meulder just got lucky to double-up through fellow Team PokerStars Pro Andre Akkari. The young Belgian Tweeted:
"BOoOM suck out on @aakari 77>JJ board runs out 456(notbad)48 yes that is a straight #eptbarcelona"
After Eugene Katchalov raised the button to 13,500, Vytautas Milvydas three-bet from the big blind to 31,500. Katchalov called in position to see the flop come down

. Milvydas bet 24,500 and Katchalov quickly folded his hand.

EPT6 Prague champion (and Czech native) Jan Skampa was eliminated just before the last break, and we sort of let it slip by. Upon closer inspection, however, we realized that we're now out of former EPT champions here in Barcelona. The EPT is still without a repeat champion in its eight seasons, and that trend will continue for at least one more stop.
Notably, Eugene Katchalov is still alive, and he does have some EPT hardware. It's not a Main Event trophy, but Katchalov has a place in EPT history (and $1.5 million) from his victory in the $100,000 Super High Roller event at the last PCA.
Martin Jacobson is also still alive, and he's an EPT sicko in his own right. Last season, he finished runner-up at both EPT Villamoura and EPT Deauville, and he's just about 80 players away from another runner-up finish here in Barcelona.
Or will this be the one for Martin??
