Mercier Beats Perrins with Tens

From under the gun, Matt Perrins raised to 900. Action folded to PokerStars qualifier from Slovakia Jozef Hancin Hentz in the small blind and he made the call. Team PokerStars Pro Jason Mercier called from the big blind as well and the flop came down {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Hearts}.

On the flop, all three players checked to see the {4-Hearts} land on the turn. Hentz checked and Mercier bet 1,050. Perrins made the call and Hentz folded.

The river completed the board with the {2-Clubs} and both Mercier and Perrins checked. Mercier tabled the {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} and Perrins mucked his hand.

Boeken Picks One Up

When we got to the table, Keith Johnson and Noah Boeken were involved in a hand on the {Q-Clubs}{10-Spades}{7-Diamonds} flop. We gathered that Boeken had raised under the gun, Johnson three-bet from the small blind and Boeken called prior to the flop.

On the flop, both checked and the turn brought the {9-Diamonds}. Johnson tossed out a single yellow T5,000 chip and announced a bet for less than that amount, although we couldn't hear what he said. Boeken raised to 8,000 and Johnson called.

The river completed the board with the {3-Hearts} and Johnson checked with about 12,000 behind. Boeken fired 15,000 and Johnson quickly folded.

Millar the Destroyer

Alexander Millar took on Eddy Sabat and David Williams in a recent hand and here's how it went down.

The three had made it to a {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} flop and Sabat led for 1,400 after Williams checked. Millar raised this up to 3,200 from middle position and Williams called. Sabat folded saying, “One of those days.”

The turn came {6-Hearts} and Williams checked to face a yellow-tower bet. The Brit had slid over eight T5,000 chips over the line to set the Team PokerStars Pro all in. Williams had 25,000 in front of him and could only admit defeat.

“Destroyer”, commented Sabat.

Toni Ojala checked the {A-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} flop and Bill Chen bet 2,000. Vanessa Rousso called the bet and then Iigin Vyacheslav Alexandovich raised to 7,000. Ojala folded, but Chen and Rousso both called.

The turn was the {Q-Clubs} and paired the board. Chen and Rousso checked. Alexandovich took a minute and then bet all in for approximately 21,000. Chen and Rousso quickly folded and Alexandovich won the pot.
