It is interesting how the most exciting hand action is often when we do not get to see any cards! Giuseppe Sammartino made a 350 raise from under the gun and the player to his direct left called before Team PokerStars Pro Sebastian Ruthenberg three-bet to 1,300 from middle position. Players folded in unison until the action fell to Sammartino who didn't seem in the mood to follow suit and he four-bet to 2,850. The initial cold-caller ran to the hills and all eyes fell on Ruthenberg.
"How much is that?" Asked the German.
The Dealer confirmed the amount and as tensions ran high Ruthenberg five-bet to 5,950.
"How much do you have left?" A very calm looking Sammartino asked.
Ruthenberg moved his yellow and red chips to the front and he had around 14,000. After some consideration Sammartino decided enough was enough and mucked his hand handing the pot to Ruthenberg.
Then a few short hands later Ruthenberg was in winning form yet again. He was in a blind battle with Mikkel Holmgaard and we saw the action from the turn. The board was
and Holmgaard check-called a 2,200 Ruthenberg bet. The river was the
and Holmgaard bet 4,000 and Ruthenberg called.

Things aren't looking so terrible for Ivan Freitez after he doubled-up his 11,000 stack.
The European Poker Tour Grand Final champion was heads-up with Seppo Parkkinen and they had made it to the turn where the board read

.
The Venezuelan called a 4,600 bet to see the
river where he committed his last 4,675. Parkkinen called but mucked upon seeing Frietez's jack-ten.
Although we joined the action on the turn we could tell that Jesus Cortes Lizano had opened up from the cut-off and Mihai Manole had called on the button. The flop was
and Lizano had c-bet and Manole had called. On to the flop then and the dealer gave us the
and Lizano bet 1,225 into a pot of around 2,000 and Manole made the call. The river was the
and Lizano bet 7,000. Manole stared deep into the side of the Spaniards head before changing his stare towards his stack. It was around 14,500 and after a lot of deep thinking Manole folded handing the pot to Lizano.
Michael Tureniec, the reigning EPT Copenhagen Champion, has lost a little bit of ground early on here in Tallinn after clashing with Anders Berg.
Everyone folded around to Berg in the cutoff seat and he raised to 400. Tureniec, next to act, three-bet to 1,100 which was enough to fold out the blinds but Berg called. The

was met with a very quick check by Berg but Tureniec took more time to make a bet of 1,650. Thirty seconds later Berg called.
The turn was another club, this one the
and Berg seemed to like it as he quickly bet three red chips worth a total of 3,000. Tureniec was very methodical in first checking his cards then picking up the necessary chips to make the call, before placing them in a neat stack in the middle of the felt.
The river brought the
into play and Berg quickly bet again, this time 7,000. Tureniec sat motionless for more than a minute, and then another minute before flicking his cards towards the dealer, leaving Berg to pick up the pot.
Tureniec down to 24,500.
Annette Obrestad is up to 32,000 after getting two streets of value against Eugen Wagner with a well disguised holding.
She raised to 525 from the hijack after Wagner had limped in from early position. He called and check-called a 600 bet on the

flop. The turn came
and both players checked through to the
river. The diminutive Norwegian bet 1,600 and Wagner tank check-called but mucked upon seeing her

European Poker Tour Grand Final Champion Ivan Freitez is in the house and finds himself seated over on Table 1 in the far corner of the tournament area.
When he won the EPT Grand Final he will be the first to admit that he ran really well and that run-good looks to have followed him from Spain to Estonia. He called a bet from Jens Kyllonen on a board that read

by the turn and it was heads up to the
river.
Kyllonen then bet 1,800 only to see Freitez make it 6,200 to play. After around 10 seconds Kyllonen made the call but mucked when Freitez turned over
for a straight.
While staring at Annette Obrestad and thinking how cool she looked in her shades we noticed some action on table 22. It involved Vitalijs Zavorotnijs, who was under the gun, and Nichlas Mattson who had the position in the hand. The board was
and there was a pretty hefty pot to fight for. Zavorotnijs checked to Mattson and the Swede bet 2,800 and Latvian duly called. The final card was the
and Zavorotnijs check-called a 7,300 bet by Mattson. Mattson flipped over the
for the straight and Zavorotnijs angrily flung his cards unseen to the dealer. Mattson who has four six-figure live tournament scores to his name is looking good with 45,000 chips.
