Bansi Busto

Praz Bansi is out of the EPT Deauville Main Event after shoving with pocket sevens from the cutoff.

The button shoved behind him with {a-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}, Rumen Nanev woke up with {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} in the big blind, and having them both covered, he made the call.

Bansi looked good to triple up after the flop and turn, but an ace on the river sent he and the Button packing.

Pagano Climbing Back

After suffering an ugly beat earlier, Luca Pagano has regained his early momentum.

Picking up the action on a {10-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} board, Pagano's opponent in the hand bet 8,100. Pagano shoved with the bigger stack, sending his opponent into the tank for a good five minutes. With about 20,000 behind, his opponent finally called for his tournament life with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, but was flushed out by Pagano's {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}.

Rousso Busts Blind

Vanessa Rousso is out after a cooler battle-of-the blinds. She sat in the big blind with pocket eights and got her chips in versus Jorge Galino Lopez in the small blind. The PokerStars qualifier opened pocket aces and flopped a third to bust the Team PokerStars Pro.

Salhani Holds On

Overnight leader Amir Salhani has been quiet all day and currently sits with just about the same stack he started with.

He recently limped into a pot UTG+1 only to see a player in late position make it 3,800.

He called and led out for 5k on the {a-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Spades} flop to induce an instant fold and continue treading water.

Can I Have My Old Table Back Please?

Toby Lewis Tweeted a while ago that he was sad that his table was about to break. He was moved to 34 and lost a pot pretty quickly, so now he's probably really sad.

He was heads-up with Sven Ellrich and the two had made it to the turn of a {q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{8-Spades} board. There was around 16,000 chips in the middle so we're assuming that Ellrich had called a Lewis raise (in the big blind) and check-called a c-bet before checking the turn. Lewis took his time and checked behind to see the {9-Spades} river.

Ellrich led for 11,200 and Lewis thought it through, called, and mucked upon seeing his opponent's {3-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a flopped flush.

McClung Busts Horecki

Marcin Horecki - Eliminated
Marcin Horecki - Eliminated

Team PokerStars Pro Marcin Horecki has just been sent to the rail by Chris "d0r1t0s" McClung.

Horecki got his last 14 big blinds into the middle with {A-}{10-}, but McClung looked him up with {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}. The board ran out {8-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}, ending Horecki's tournament.

News in Brief

Fatima Moreira de Melo is half the lady she once was. Her stack has dipped to less than 40,000 chips. This was partly due to bet-folding on a {4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades}{j-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} board in a three-way hand.

Vadzim Kursevich, who came third at EPT7 Berlin for €300,000, is having a good day. He's up from 114,800 to 235,000.

Mattias De Meulder is out. He lost with king-queen to ace-five, and then shoved his last few big blinds in with eight-six from the small blind. The big blind called with king-eight and the board bricked.

Brammer Busts Bevand

We arrived at Christopher Brammer's table and found him in the tank.

Manuel Bevand was all in for 32,300 on a {10-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{7-Spades} board. Before we got a chance to count up what was in the pot, Brammer called with {K-Spades}{J-Clubs}. He was drawing against Bevand's {10-Spades}{9-Clubs} and got there when the turn brought the {8-Hearts}.

Bevand found no help from the {A-Diamonds} river and has been eliminated.

Electric Slide

Philippe Ma continues to slide down the leader board here in Deauville.

A few moments ago he got caught up in a massive pre-flop raising war with Vadzim Kursevich that stalled after Ma made it 17,600 and Kursevich bumped it up to 36,000 total.

Mas spent a good three minutes in the tank before eventually folding to fall under 80k.
