Timex Gets Aces for a Fifth Time; Drops Back Down to Starting Stack

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

According to his Twitter account, Mike "Timex" McDonald has been dealt aces five times today. We caught the fifth hand, and after unsuccessfully firing three bullets, the Canadian dipped back down to the starting stack.

He and three others took a flop of {2-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}. Franz Ditz checked, McDonald fired 1,225, and the action folded back to Ditz, who called.

The turn was the {6-Hearts}, Ditz checked again, and McDonald bet another 2,625. Ditz called.

The {7-Spades} completed the board, and Ditz checked a third time. McDonald reached for chips, announced "Fifty-six twenty-five," and Ditz called the 5,625-chip bet.

McDonald showed {a-Spades}{a-Clubs} for a pair of aces, but Ditz had that beat with {7-Hearts}{5-Hearts} for a turned flush.

"Nice flop," McDonald told him.

Quoss Given His Marcin Orders

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

Homegrown high roller, Fabian Quoss, has busted after taking a long time to call with pocket queens on the turn of a low board.

Marcin Wydrowski was the player to put him to the test on the turn of the {9-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{3-Spades} board. Quoss called and was shown pocket aces by the Pole, who survived the {7-Hearts} river.

Max Pressure From Charania

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

We caught the action when a player with 1,550 invested called a bigger raise from Mohsin Charania who had 4,500 out in front of him. These two players went heads up to the flop.

The flop brought {J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Charania bet 5,575, his opponent made the call. On the turn the {6-Diamonds} popped up and Charania threw five blue 25,000-chips to the middle to put his opponent all in. Charania's opponent had only 16,000 left and thought about it for a while.

"Show me if I fold?" he asked.

Charania sat motionless as his opponent kept staring him down.

"You got aces?" he continued before finally saying, "You win," as he tabled {Q-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. Charania didn't show any sign of relief or happiness as he raked in this big pot.

The board read {7-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{6-Clubs} when we came upon the table. Hiren Patel was heads up with Ramzi Jelassi and Jelassi had just fired out a bet of 2,600. Patel called to see the final card.

The dealer produced the {5-Clubs} on fifth street and Jelassi slowed down with a check. Patel moved 5,850 into the middle and Jelassi quickly released. Patel picked up the pot and is now sitting on about 51,000 in chips.

Chouity's Queen-High Is Better

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

The board read {A-Spades}{K-Spades}{A-Clubs} and we saw Nicolas Chouity lead for 700. The player to his immediate left folded and Michael Mizrachi flat called. One more player mucked his hand and we were heads up to fourth street.

Chouity checked when the {9-Clubs} fell and Mizrachi fired 1,300. Chouity stuck around. Fifth street was the {3-Hearts} and Chouity checked. Mizrachi tapped the table right back and showed {Q-Spades}{7-Spades} for a busted flush draw.

Chouity rolled over {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} for a busted draw as well, but his queen-high reigned supreme as the best hand of the two. The pot was pushed to Chouity and he's now sitting on about 40,000. The Grinder, however, has fallen to 22,000.

Grafton Near The Top

Level 4 : 100/200, 25 ante

One of our German colleagues just informed us of a very interesting hand in which Sam Grafton picked up a lot of chips. Grafton was moved to a table with Toby Lewis, Dario Minieri and Vanessa Selbst after which the following hand happened.

Grafton made a raise preflop and the player on the button called. Gerald Karlic three-bet to 1,300 from the big blind and both Grafton and the button, former EPT Baden winner Thang Duc Nguyen, made the call. The flop brought {4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{Q-Spades} and Karlic bet 2,350, Grafton called and Nguyen folded.

The turn brought the {3-Diamonds} and Karlic bet 4,200, Grafton called once again.

On the river the {Q-Diamonds} hit and Karlic bet 11,600. Grafton moved all in and Karlic had to decide for his final 15,000 chips. Karlic made a crying call and Grafton showed {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}. Karlic's {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} were tabled and he was knocked out.
