Gieles Busts in Three-Way All In

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Mohin Charania opened to 6,500 and Jason Wheeler three-bet to 16,000 before Luuk Gieles announced all in. Charania called it off for his last 67,000 and Wheeler gave it some thought before making the call, thinking he would have a flip against Charania and at least break even this way.

Charania: {A-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}
Gieles: {10-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}
Wheeler: {Q-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}

While Wheeler had the best of it before the flop, Charania's hopes of a comeback found help with the {K-Spades}{7-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop. Both the {6-Hearts} turn and the {9-Spades} river blanked and Gieles' stack was counted to confirm that he was covered by Wheeler for a few chips only, Charania tripled up.

Kornuth Back in Action

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

"Hey Chance, did you get moved here?" was the question and a rather dry "Yeah, kind of, for a tiny fee," came as reply from Chance Kornuth after he sat down for his second bullet. The American was still smiling though and will try to run up a stack on his second attempt.

Mike McDonald Doubles Up

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Mike McDonald
Mike McDonald

After folding to a shove from table-mate Daniel Dvoress five minutes earlier, in this hand McDonald raised from early position and found Mustapha Kanit in the big blind who raised enough to put McDonald all-in. The Canadian called.

McDonald: {j-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Kanit: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The board ran out {j-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{q-Spades} and Kanit counted out the chips for McDonalds double-up

Watson Busts Luca

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

As we arrived we saw Ivan Luca left with just a single 100-chip, while Mike Watson was stacking newfound wealth.

Watson had raised the cutoff and Luca had three-bet the button. Watson called, and check called all three streets on {6-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} with {8-Clubs}{9-Clubs} for flopped trips. Luca had {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts} and was left with a quarter an ante.

The next hand he was all in blind. He flopped an open ended with his {5-Spades}{7-Diamonds} but eventually lost even his last chip to Watson's {A-Spades}{10-Clubs} after the board blanked out.

O'Dwyer Eliminated by Rossiter

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante
Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

Rocco Palumbo raised to 8,000 under the gun and was raised in the seat next to him to 22,000 by Jeff Rossiter. It folded round to Steve O'Dwyer on the button who moved all in for his remaining 110,000 chips. Palumbo folded and Rossiter made a quick call.

Rossiter: {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}
O'Dwyer: {J-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}

The board ran out {a-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{k-Spades}{6-Clubs} and O'Dwyer headed to the exit wrapped in a jacket and hat to fight off the cold. We may still see him back in the High Roller field, with rebuys open until 12.15 p.m. tomorrow

Jacks for Vogelsang

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 400 ante

Jean-Noel Thorel raised to 8,000 and Christoph Vogelsang squeezed to 30,000 out of the blinds to receive a call by the Frenchman. On the flop {9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Clubs}, Vogelsang continued for 35,100 and Thorel called before the German checked the {9-Spades} on the turn. Thorel bet 55,000 and was called before then firing a bet of 35,000 on the {8-Hearts} river.

Vogelsang, who had checked for the second time in a row, made the call and was shown {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts} by Thorel to reveal his winning {J-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}.
