Shine On You Crazy Diamond

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante

Ireland's own Cathal Shine shipped it in from early position for around 80,000 and Axdrian Mateos made the call in the big blind with the {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}.

Shine was in a flip for his tournament life with the {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}, and his pair managed to hold on a {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{q-Diamonds} board, giving him the double up.

Neuville Doubles Through McDonald

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Pierre Neuville
Pierre Neuville

From early position, Pierre Neuville opened for 16,000. Action folded to Mike McDonald on the button and the Canadian high roller three-bet to 38,000. Both blinds folded, Neuville called.

The Belgian pensionado checked on {6-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Hearts} and McDonald followed his preflop aggression up with an all in. Neuville had 131,000 left at this point, and called just about instantly.

Pierre Neuville: {10-Hearts}{10-Spades}
Mike McDonald: {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}

The {2-Spades} on the turn was a safe card for Neuville, and so was the {Q-Spades} on the river. Double up for the November Niner, while McDonald slips down to just over quarter a million.

Bernies: {J-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the jacks held up, eliminating Chen.

Adrian Mateos
Adrian Mateos

Richard Dubini got it all in on a {2-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop with the {a-Clubs}{q-Hearts}.

Top-top was no good though, as Adrian Mateos had the {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} and held on after the {3-Clubs} turn and {2-Diamonds} river to bust Dubini and push above 550,000 in chips.

Jean Takes Out Soulier

Level 18 : 3,000/6,000, 1,000 ante
Fabrice Soulier
Fabrice Soulier

Mikael Jean raised from early position and Fabrice Soulier got the rest of his tiny stack, worth 36,000 only, into the middle of the table.

Soulier: {A-Hearts}{J-Hearts}
Jean: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}

The flop {10-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} was bad news for the Frenchman already while the {2-Diamonds} turn changed nothing yet. However, the dealer burned and turned the {Q-Diamonds} on the river and Soulier was gone.
