Umraov Buckles to Bendik's Turn Bet

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jan Bendik just raised to 45,000 from the button and Asan Umarov three-bet from the small blind to 127,000. Bendik made the call, and the flop brought out {Q-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} and Umarov bet another 127,000.

Bendik tanked for a bit before calling, and the turn was the {5-Spades}.

Umarov checked the turn and Bendik bet 197,000, which put Umarov deep into the tank. After about four minutes the clock was called, and eventually the man from Kazakhstan folded.

Joao Vieira limped the small blind, but when Team PokerStars Pro Vanessa Selbst raised the big to 55,000, he three-bet, making it 144,000.

Selbst called and the flop came out {10-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}. Vieira led for 133,000 and Selbst flatted. The turn brought the {4-Clubs} and Vieira led again, making it 237,000. Selbst called again, but when Vieira jammed the {10-Clubs} river, putting Selbst to a decision for her last 500,000, she folded.

With that pot, Vieira has moved into the chip lead and sits just under the two million chip mark.

Durnegger Trusts His Read, But Busts

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jimmy Guerrero limped under the gun and three more players called before Markus Durnegger raised from the big blind. Guerrero was the only player to call, and the flop brought out {K-Spades}{8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}.

Durnegger continued for 70,000 and Guerrero raised it up to 175,000. Durnegger gave it some thought before calling, but ultimately he did.

The turn brought the {4-Hearts} and Durnegger check-called a bet of 150,000, after which the {A-Clubs} completed the board.

Durnegger checked the river, and Guerrero moved all in immediately. Almost immediately Guerrero said, "I will show if you fold, it's a big pot."

"It doesn't make sense to me," Durnegger said about a minute later, "You could have fours, or fives?"

A few more minutes went by, and with 220,000 chips left Durnegger had a big decision to make.

"You're a nice guy, I'll show you," Guerrero then said, as Durnegger kept thinking.

"Clock," another player then said, and in the final seconds Durnegger called.

Guerrero showed {5-Clubs}{5-Spades} for a flopped set, and Durnegger flashed {8-Spades}{7-Clubs} for a pair of eights, and he was knocked out.
