Aido Can't Call

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Koray Aldemir
Koray Aldemir

Koray Aldemir opened the action with a middle position raise to 7,000 and big blind Sergio Aido called.

Aido check-called 6,000 on {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and check-called another 20,500 on the {A-Clubs} turn. The {J-Spades} completed the board and Aido checked for the third time. Aldemir bet 39,000 and Aido went deep into the tank.

After some time, Martin Kabrhel asked for the clock to be put on Aido. The tournament director came over and, after consulting with the dealer, ruled that there would not follow a one-minute countdown as Aido hadn't taken too much time just yet.

Aido eventually folded and the pot went to Aldemir.

Floor Makes a Ruling in Big Pot Between Carrel and Tsoukernik

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante

With more than 70,000 in the pot already, Charlie Carrel in the small blind had a bet of 50,000 in front of him on a board reading {9-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{Q-Hearts}. In the cutoff, Leon Tsoukernik was still to act when Ole Schemion mentioned that he thought he had seen a check in the dark before the final community card was dealt.

Tsoukernik said he had seen the same, and as a result the tournament director was called. The dealer said he had not seen the check, and after further elaboration by all players involved, it was ruled that the bet by Carrel was confirmed.

Tsoukernik eventually called and then mucked when Carrel showed {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for a pair of queens.

Level 6 : 1,500/3,000, 500 ante
Nick Petrangelo
Nick Petrangelo

Nick Petrangelo raised to 7,000, Anthony Zinno three-bet to 21,000 out of the small blind and only Petrangelo called. On the {Q-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, Zinno checked, Petrangelo bet 21,500 and received the call.

After the {3-Diamonds} turn, Zinno checked for the second street in a row and Petrangelo shoved for what looked like 136,200. Zinno called and put his opponent at risk.

Nick Petrangelo: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Anthony Zinno: {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}

The {3-Clubs} on the river was a blank and the kicker played a crucial role to eliminate Petrangelo.

Heath Takes from Wheeler; Greenwood Shoves into Thorel

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Hand 1

Ben Heath made it 6,000 to go and Jason Wheeler called in the cutoff, Jean-Noel Thorel called on the button and Sergio Aido came along out of the big blind. On the {10-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop, Aido checked and Heath continued for 16,000. Both Wheeler and Thorel called, Aido then folded.

The {8-Clubs} on the turn brought no betting action, while Heath then bet the {3-Diamonds} river for 48,000. Only Wheeler called, then mucked as Heath tabled {A-Hearts}{10-Spades} for tens and eights with the ace-kicker.

Hand 2

One hand later, Sam Greenwood opened to 6,000 and Thorel three-bet to 13,000 from the cutoff. The blinds folded and Greenwood called to see a flop of {7-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs}. Greenwood checked, Thorel bet 30,000 and then folded to a shove for 99,000 in total. "Ninety-nine," Greenwood grinned, flashed his {9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} for a pair of nines, before having to rack up his stack and moving to another table.

Tsoukernik Takes from Thomas

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

In the cutoff, Julian Thomas raised to 6,000 and Leon Tsoukernik called on the button, Vladimir Troyanovskiy came along in the big blind. On the {K-Spades}{8-Spades}{7-Hearts} flop, Troyanovskiy checked and subsequently folded after a bet of 7,000 by Thomas and a call by Tsoukernik.

On the {3-Diamonds} turn, Thomas then check-called a bet of 7,000 before doing so again on the {6-Clubs} river for the same amount. "I have a king, not so good kicker," Tsoukernik announced and tabled his {K-Diamonds}{10-Spades}. Thomas mucked and the pot was shipped to Tsoukernik.

Thorel Binks the Turn to Double

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

We heard the dealer counting out an all-in bet from Jean-Noel Thorel, and Jason Wheeler was asking how much he had to pay. The board had run out {j-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{10-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Thorel's count was 216,200. He had a pair of eights in front of him for a turned set, and Wheeler's cards were already in the muck; they were reportedly {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts} and Thorel had shoved over a turn bet after calling the flop in a three-bet pot.
