Kanit Busts Carrel

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante
Charlie Carrel
Charlie Carrel

From middle position, Charlie Carrel opened for 5,000. Over on the button, Mustapha Kanit put in a three-bet to 16,500 and Carrel called after both blinds folded.

The flop came {A-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{3-Spades} and Carrel checked. Kanit bet 14,000 and Carrel check-raised to 38,000. Kanit called.

On the {9-Clubs}-turn, Carrel bet 50,000. Kanit called once more.

The {K-Spades} completed the board and Carrel moved all in for about 148,000. Kanit thought about it for a bit before he called.

Carrel showed {6-Clubs}{6-Spades} but would soon part ways with all of his chips as Kanit tabled {A-Diamonds}{A-Clubs} and had him just covered.

That great question 'What happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object?' has now been answered: Kanit wins.

Addendum: it appears Charlie Carrel bought back in right away.

Greenwood Doubles Through Kabrhel

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Martin Kabrhel raised to 4,800 from the hijack and Sam Greenwood moved all in from the small blind. Kabrhel asked for a count and the shove was for 49,200. "Why so much?" Kabrhel asked and Greenwood took off his earphones, then replied "it is all I have." Kabrhel gave it another half a minute of consideration and called.

Sam Greenwood: {J-Clubs}{10-Clubs}
Martin Kabrhel: {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}

The flop of {J-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} improved Greenwood, and the {8-Hearts} turn and {9-Clubs} river changed nothing to let the Canadian double up.

Kolonias Tries to Bluff

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Alexandros Kolonias opened for a raise in the cutoff and then called a three-bet to 27,000 from Orpen Kisacikoglu in the big blind. Kisacikoglu continued for 18,000 on the {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades} flop, and Kolonias called. Both checked the turn, and the river made a final board of {k-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Clubs}{3-Diamonds}. Kisacikoglu checked and Kolonias tanked a long time before betting 50,000. Kisacikoglu called after about a minute, and Kolonias tabled {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for ace-high. Kisacikoglu took it with {q-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}.

From middle position, Koray Aldemir raised to 6,000. His neighbor Jason Wheeler was the only caller.

Wheeler showed {8-Diamonds}{8-Hearts} and Aldemir mucked.

Orpen Kisacikoglu Folds to Big Bet

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Daniel Dvoress was first to act and opened for 6,000. Alexandros Kolonias called from the button, Orpen Kisacikoglu called from the big blind.

Kisacikoglu checked on {6-Diamonds}{J-Spades}{J-Clubs} and Dvoress bet 8,000. Kolonias folded, Kisacikoglu called.

The {2-Clubs} hit the turn and Kisacikoglu checked again. Dvoress bet 35,000 and Kisacikoglu called once more.

With the {Q-Hearts} completing the board, Kisacikoglu checked for the third time. Dvoress bet 95,000 and Kisacikoglu went deep into the tank. Several minutes had passed before someone at the table called the clock. Before the floor had even shown up, Kisacikoglu mucked his hand.

Dvoress showed {Q-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} with a big grin and started stacking.

Wheeler Takes from Kabrhel; Thorel Back In

Level 5 : 1,200/2,400, 400 ante

Joining the action on the {9-Spades}{4-Hearts}{2-Spades} flop, Jason Wheeler bet 7,500 in the hijack and Martin Kabrhel called in the cutoff. The {A-Hearts} fell on the turn and Wheeler now made it 12,500 to go, again Kabrhel called.

After the {6-Spades} river, Wheeler fired a third barrel worth 21,000. While Kabrhel was sent into the think tank, Jean-Noel Thorel arrived at the table and took the empty seat between the duo. Kabrhel then called and Wheeler table {K-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}. Kabrhel looked at his cards again, even asked the dealer "what is it, a pair of sixes?" and then mucked. While Wheeler stacked the profit with a grin on the face, Kabrhel added a "well played" and received a "thank you" as reply.
