Toma Doubles While Eliminating Palma

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

During the second to last hand from break, Tsugunari Toma shoved all-in for around 15 big blinds and everyone folds. The dealer looked at the clock and said, "One more hand" with 20 seconds to go before break. A couple of players asked the dealer to confirm, to which he said, "Why not, there is time."

On the last hand before break Nicholas Palma shoved all-in from the small blind with {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}. Toma called with {8-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} and held his breath as the board ran out {9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}. Palma was eliminated and wished the players that didn't leave early for the break a good game, while Toma breathed a sigh of relief and will come back from break with 80,000 chips.

Garrosi and Krakow Double

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

On two neighbouring tables, two players were at risk and both survived in order to double up.

The first was Sebanien Garrosi, who open-shoved for his last 26,000 from early position. The action folded to Nicholas Palma on the button and he shoved for more to get the blinds out of the way.

Sebanien Garrosi: {7-Clubs}{7-Clubs}
Nicholas Palma: {A-Spades}{K-Diamonds}

The board came {Q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Spades} and the Swiss doubled, leaving Palma short. The latter then shoved one hand later for just over seven big blinds and got through with it.

One table over, Patrick Leonard raised to 4,000 and picked up one caller before Matan Krakow shoved in the big blind. Leonard called and the third player in the hand folded.

Leonard turned over {A-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds}, having the {A-Hearts}{9-Clubs} of Krakow dominated. However, the board came {8-Spades}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Krakow improved on the turn to double. Leonard was left with a shaking head, but still holds an above-average stack.

The raising chips of Henrik Hecklen from early position were already pulled away, as a three-bet to 15,000 was in front of Adrien Allain in the big blind. Hecklen then four-bet to 36,500 and Allain called.

On the {9-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{5-Hearts} flop, Allain check-called a continuation bet worth 20,000 before both then checked down the {J-Hearts} turn and {K-Diamonds} river. Allain flashed the {10-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} and Hecklen mucked.

Eduards Kudrjavcevs Eliminates Tomasz Chmiel

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante
Eduards Kudrjavcevs

Eduards Kudrjavcevs is ranked as the fifth biggest poker tournament career earner in Latvia according to The Hendon Mob and is looking to improve his ranking during the EPT Main Event.

Every time we walk by the table it appears the Latvian has more and more chips. Sometimes he is getting it in good, and other times maybe not as much.

He was just involved in a hand that eliminated Poland's Tomasz Chmiel, who was low on chips at the time. Chmiel who was ahead preflop with {q-Diamonds}{q-Spades} was unable to stay alive against Kudrjavecvs who was holding {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} after the ace paired on a {7-Spades}{a-Spades}{9-Diamonds} flop. The turn and river were blanks with Chmiel hitting the rails and Kudrjavecvs stack rising to 410,000.

Game Over for De La Iglesia

Level 12 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

The two short stacks Daniel De La Iglesia and Miha Travnik clashed with the former at risk for around 35,000 with the {9-Spades}{9-Clubs} from the button. Travnik had {J-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} one seat over in the small blind and the board ran out {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{10-Clubs} to eliminate De La Iglesia.

Travnik bumped his stack up, but remains below the current average with 346 remaining.
