Yingui Li Eliminated

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Yingui Li was one of the 13 players that entered before the start of Day 2 and he has just been eliminated within two hands.

In the first hand, Alexandru Cezarescu opened to 3,600 and received one caller before Li three-bet to 13,000 in the big blind. Cesarescu shoved for 30,000 and the cold-caller folded, Li called.

Alexandru Cezarescu: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Yingui Li: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

The board ran out {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{9-Clubs}{K-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and Li was left with around 10,000.

Soon after, Erik Tamm raised to 3,500 in the hijack and Simon Mattsson three-bet to 9,900. Li called all in for 8,000 on the button and Tamm called. The two remaining active players checked the {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop, before Tamm bet the {K-Clubs} turn to isolate successfully.

Li flashed {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}, but Tamm had that beat with {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}. The river was a blank and Li headed to the rail.

Updated Chip Counts; Kiscikoglu Doubles

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

We didn't see the action or his opponent's hand, but Orpen Kisacikoglu was getting pushed a double with {k-}{q-} on a king-high board. His opponent matched his final 19,000 to conclude the hand.

Pierre Calamusa Wins Another

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Pierre Calamusa
Pierre Calamusa

Pierre Calamusa has been off to a good start in Day 2. His stack just increased by a small amount after he called a shove for about 10 big blinds from Paul Corrigan.

Corrigan: {A-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Calamusa: {A-Clubs}{8-Clubs}

Despite Corrigan being ahead when the chips went in the middle, he was eliminated from the tournament when the board ran out {a-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Hearts}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs} to give Calamusa a straight and bring his stack once again to slightly above 300,000.

Kudrjavcevs Among Big Stacks

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Eduards Kudrjavcevs defended his big blind against the under-the gun raise of his table neighbor with a big stack already and checked the flop of {K-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Clubs}. Kudrjavcevs checked, his opponent bet 2,500 and the Latvian called. On the {3-Hearts} turn and {6-Hearts} river, both players opted to check and Kudrjavcevs tabled the {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} for ace-high. That was good enough to scoop the pot, adding some more to the big tower.

Kasyanov Wins Flip

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After an open-raise, Maxim Lykov three-bet to 10,000 and the action folded to Igor Kasyanov in the big blind. He four-bet all in for 26,000 and the initial raiser folded, Lykov with his big stack called after brief consideration.

Igor Kasyanov: {7-Clubs}{7-Spades}
Maxim Lykov: {Q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

The {7-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} flop almost locked up the hand for Kasyanov, and it was official on the {10-Hearts} turn, making the {6-Hearts} river a formality. Lykov dropped some chips, but still remains with a fairly decent stack.

Fatima Moreira de Melo Eliminated

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante
Fatima Moreira de Melo
Fatima Moreira de Melo

PokerStars Team SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo was one of the latest casualties of the tournament. With still about 22 big blinds, both Moreira de Melo and her opponent checked on a {q-}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} flop. She led out for a bet of 3,000 on the {3-Diamonds} turn and her opponent shoved. The former Dutch field hockey player turned over {k-Hearts}{q-Hearts} and mistakenly thought she was just fading a diamond for the flush after her opponent turned over {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}.

The {7-Spades} on the river was of no help to Moreira de Melo and only then after the chips were being sent to her opponent did she realize her opponent also had a queen in his hand as well along with a higher kicker. While Moreira de Melo had her opponent covered, she was left with just two big blinds and left the tournament room a hand or two later and was debating in the lobby about whether or not to enter one of the day's later events.

Laubert is not from Saint Martin

Level 11 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

After a raise from early position by Ismael Bojang and a call by Tobias Laubert from two seats over, Vitezslav Cech came along in the big blind and checked the flop of {A-Hearts}{J-Spades}{8-Diamonds}. The action checked to Laubert, who bet 4,000. Only Cech called, while Bojang folded. On the {8-Hearts} turn, Cech checked again and then folded to a bet worth 14,000 by Laubert.

While the German raked in the pot, Mihai Manole in the two seat asked if Laubert was from Saint Martin. "Nice island," he added and Laubert smiled back. The table by itself is already quite interesting, but Thomas Muehloecker's monster stack was moved over there too and the Austrian admitted he had just lost one hand since coming over.
