Big Double for Satubayev

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Shyngis Satubayev
Shyngis Satubayev

Shyngis Satubayev opened to 2,000 and Dinesh Alt three-bet to 7,000 in the small blind, which Satubayev called. On a flop of {A-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}{5-Clubs} both players opted to check before Alt bet the {3-Clubs} turn for 6,600. Satubayev raised it up to 21,500 and received the call.

After the {4-Diamonds} river, Alt checked and faced the all in of Satubayev for 46,900, which the Swiss called after some consideration. Satubayev rolled over {A-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} for the nut flush and Alt mucked {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts}. "We had history before," Alt added and dropped to a few big blinds only.

Fernandez Doubles Through Damcevski

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Leo Fernandez
Leo Fernandez

With already 19,000 in the middle and the flop reading {8-Clubs}{5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, Leo Fernandez had not yet made his decision yet when Nikola Damcevski bet 10,000. Fernandez moved all in, technically out of turn, and the dealer informed Damcevski that he could take his bet back with all options still given. Little did it matter, as Damcevski said he'd call the all in of the PokerStars Team Pro for 27,600 to create the following showdown.

Leo Fernandez: {K-Clubs}{K-Hearts}
Nikola Damcevski: {J-Clubs}{J-Hearts}

The {3-Spades} turn and {A-Clubs} river were both blanks and Fernandez doubled.

Kanit & Boeree Eliminated; Cody Busts Zhang

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Jake Cody
Jake Cody

Mustapha Kanit was railing Dario Sammartino in the €2,200 National High Roller, and he explained that he had lost a flip with {q-}{q-} against the {a-}{k-} of Julian Thomas to bust the Main Event.

Meanwhile, Liv Boeree was sent to the rail by Christophe Larquemin after the PokerStars Team Pro three-bet all in for 15 big blinds with {a-}{9-} but was bested by the {a-}{k-} of Larquemin.

Finally, Yang Zhang moved all in for 6,200 from early position. Jake Cody flatted on the button and the blinds both folded.

Yang Zhang: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Jake Cody: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Zhang saw the bad news and got to his feet, and was heading to the exit after the {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{3-Clubs} board was dealt.

Badziakouski Misses Too Many Outs

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Mikita Badziakouski
Mikita Badziakouski

Mikita Badziakouski raised from middle position and was called by Boris Kuzmanovic from one seat over. On the {J-Clubs}{8-Spades}{5-Spades} flop, Badziakouski continued for 4,000 into a pot of 6,000 and Kuzmanovic called before facing the shove of the Belorussian on the {Q-Clubs} turn. The all in was for 14,400 and Kuzmanovic reluctantly tossed in a single chip for the call.

Mikita Badziakouski: {7-Spades}{6-Spades}
Boris Kuzmanovic: {K-Hearts}{J-Hearts}

Despite having a ton of outs with his open-ended straight flush draw, Badziakouski couldn't get there on a blank {3-Diamonds} river to bust on his first entry. "It's okay, I can buy in again tomorrow," he said on his way out.

Small Pot for Fernandez

Level 8 : 400/800, 800 ante
Leo Fernandez
Leo Fernandez

With some 11,000 already in the middle, Leo Fernandez checked behind against Clement Delacroix with the turn showing {7-Spades}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} and the {8-Spades} fell on the river. Delacroix bet 2,100 and Fernandez called to get shown {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for trips sixes by Delacroix. The PokerStars Team Pro had that beat with {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} to edge closer to the starting stack again on his second entry.

Fellow Team Pro Liv Boeree has fewer chips than the Argentinian while John Mooney is the dominating chip leader on their table.

Healthy Stacks for Drozd and Vrakas

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

On a {4-Hearts}{7-Spades}{8-Clubs}{j-Hearts} board Georgios Vrakas bet 2,000 and opponent Ondrej Drozd called. The river was the {3-Spades} and Vrakas bet 4,000. Drozd called again, but mucked when Vrakas showed {5-Hearts}{j-Spades} for a pair of jacks.

Both players now have healthy stacks of 70-80,000 as the level draws to a close.

Klatt Among Casualties

Level 7 : 300/600, 600 ante

Andreas Klatt was among several well-known players to hit the rail, his ace-queen ended up second-best to the ace-king of Mark Demirdjian and thatr vaulted the Canadian back into the top spot. Brian Altman and Vlado Banicevic are slowly but surely also getting there with six-figure stacks while Orpen Kisacikoglu and Kenny Hallaert both busted for a second time.
