Fatah Jams Up Stack

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

There were already more than 11,000 in the pot and the board showed {8-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} with Ahmed Fatah checking over in late position. Dimitri Huley on the button made it 6,700 to go and Fatah quickly moved all in for 25,000.

After some consideration, Huley folded and Luke Haward in the two seat said "big hand for level two," to which Huley replied "I folded pocket treys."

Julian Stuer Wins the €25,750 High Roller

Table 1 had already featured the likes of Sosia Jiang, Christopher Frank, Daniel Dvoress, Juan Pardo, Josip Simunic and Paul Newey and the remaining three open spots were filled with Hady El Asmar, Julian Stuer and Andrei Boghean, all well known faces on the European poker circuit. On the very same table in Le Sporting, Stuer had his biggest result of the career so far after taking down the 2017 PokerStars Championship €25,750 High Roller for stunning €1,015,000 one year ago and is aiming to rack up another deep run in Monaco.

Bruno Fitoussi had last been spotted with around 8,500 in chips and those have since vanished as the Frenchman has become one of the first casualties in the €5,300 Main Event. Sihai Jiang, who won his seat in a live satellite, has also been eliminated over on table nine.

Among the new faces in the field are Dutch High Roller and Monaco resident Govert Metaal as well as Roman Emelyanov.

[Removed:552] Takes from Petrangelo

Level 2 : 100/100, 100 ante

At the very end of level one, Nick Petrangelo four-bet to 3,100 from under the gun and picked up calls from [Removed:551] and Hiroyuki Noda in the big blind. The flop fell {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and Noda checked, Petrangelo continued for 2,500 and just [Removed:552] called. The {10-Hearts} turn and {Q-Clubs} river brought no further betting action and Petrangelo rolled over the {A-Clubs}{5-Clubs}, which [Removed:552] had beat with {K-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}.

Nagygyorgy Gets Some Back With Aces

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Tibor Nagygyorgy lost a big pot early on against table neighbor Mete Ustuay and was then involved in a three-way pot to the flop of {8-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds}, on which he bet 900. Fabrice Maltez from one seat over folded and Maroun Jazzar raised to 2,200, the Hungarian called.

On the {K-Clubs} turn, Nagygyorgy checked and called a bet of 3,000 before both players opted to check the {J-Spades} river. Nagygyorgy rolled over the {A-Spades}{A-Diamonds} and won the pot, but was left with his head shaking.

Le Touche Shoves on Fitoussi

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

On a {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop Bruno Fitoussi bet 1,000 out of the small blind and Philippe Le Touche raised to 3,500 on the button. Fitoussi re-raised to 6,500 and Le Touche called.

Fitoussi bet 5,000 on the {4-Spades} turn and Le Touche called. The river was the {j-Hearts} and with 25,000 in the pot, Fitoussi opted to bet just 5,000 again. Le Touche then raised all in for 17,100. Fitoussi pondered his decision.

"Nines, maybe?" he said aloud before folding.

Le Touche tapped the felt and turned over {j-Spades}{10-Hearts} for a missed straight draw and rivered two pair.

Konopelko Sits Down and Builds Stack

Level 1 : 100/100, 0 ante

Shortly after sitting down and taking a seat, Andrei Konopelko defended his big blind against a raise by Javier Fernandez Alonso and a call from Andre Haneberg on the button. The trio checked down the {10-Clubs}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} flop and Konopelko also checked the {3-Spades} turn. Fernandez Alonso bet 500 and was called two ways before the {J-Clubs} river was again checked down.

Konopelko turned over the {10-Spades}{8-Clubs} for two pair and that was good enough to win the pot.
