Level 34 : 150,000/300,000, 300,000 ante
Giovanni Gallo
Giovanni Gallo

Giovanni Gallo raised all in for 1.3m from the hijack and only Alberto Ah Line called before the blinds folded.

Giovanni Gallo: {a-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}
Alberto Ah Line: {9-Spades}{9-Diamonds}

Board: {5-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{4-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

There was a glimmer of hope for Gallo on the flop when he paired his five, but no further help came from the turn or river as he was eliminated just minutes after the restart in level 34.

Gallo walks away with €44,350 for his 10th place finish in EPT Barcelona National.

A Teunis Surprise

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 250,000 ante

Julien Martini raised to 525,000, Jan Teunis called on the button and Mariano Leandro Hyon defended his big blind. The {2-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}{4-Hearts} flop got checked to Teunis, who bet 1,000,000. Leandro folded and Martini check-called. Both players checked the {8-Diamonds} on the turn.

On the {8-Spades} river, Martini led out for 2,400,000 and Teunis snap-called. Martini tabled {Q-Hearts}{3-Hearts} for queens and eights, but much to his surprise Teunis cooked up {A-Spades}{A-Clubs} and scooped up the pot.

Yunsheng Sun

In the hand after busting Arni Gunnarsson, Claudio Di Giacomo open-shoved from the small blind. Yunsheng Sun called all in for around 3 million from the big blind.

Claudio Di Giacomo: {Q-Diamonds}{9-Clubs}
Yunsheng Sun: {A-Spades}{8-Hearts}

The {K-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{J-Clubs} flop gave Di Giacomo some more outs and he added the clubs as well on the {6-Clubs} turn. The {Q-Clubs} on the river left nothing to the imagination and Sun had to part ways in 11th place. The man from China received €44,350 for his deep run.

Arni Gunnarsson: {a-Hearts}{j-Spades}
Claudio Di Giacomo: {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}

Board: {2-Spades}{q-Hearts}{3-Hearts}{q-Spades}{k-Clubs}

Michal Casnocha

Down to 1,825,000 in chips, Michal Casnocha shoved all in from the cutoff.

"Finally!" Jan Teunis cheered before looking at his cards. He then quickly flicked in calling chips on the button and the blinds folded.

Michal Casnocha: {A-Hearts}{5-Spades}
Jan Teunis: {A-Clubs}{Q-Spades}

Casnocha stood up and cheered in Slovakian. His eyes lighted up when the dealer put out an {A-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{4-Spades} flop, propelling him into a substantial lead. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Casnocha called for a spade.

Unfortunately for him, the river was the {Q-Clubs}, pairing Teunis' kicker and ending his run in 13th place.

"Ok guys, good luck," he smiled before walking away.

Joel Visa Jordana: {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Roger Taieb: {A-Hearts}{4-Spades}

A split pot would've been the most expected outcome, but instead, it was Taieb who won it all on the river with the worse starting hand: {2-Hearts}{7-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Visa's EPT National run came to an end in 15th place.
