Okada Doubles Through Greenwood

Level 14 : 1,500/3,000, 3,000 ante

Luc Greenwood opened to 7,000 on the button and Ken Okada reraised all in from the small blind for 97,000. Greenwood thought about it for a minute and made the call to create the following showdown:

Luc Greenwood: {a-Spades}{j-Spades}
Ken Okada: {q-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}

Greenwood had the best hand but the {q-Clubs}{2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} run out gave Okada a pair of queens as well as the double up.

Fatima Moreira de Melo
Fatima Moreira de Melo

Fatima Moreira de Melo got unlucky right before the third break of the day. Holding {9-}{9-}, she went all-in preflop and was in good shape for a double up, against {6-}{6-} in her opponent's hand but a flop {6-}{7-}{8-}fell, giving the latter a set of sixes. The {q-} turn and {3-} river didn't change anything and the Team PokerStars Pro made her way to the exit.

Mustapha Kanit
Mustapha Kanit

Mustapha Kanit said that he promised Guntis Aleskins that if he won he'd buy Aleskins a big dinner a few seconds after surviving a flip with {10-}{10-} against {a-}{k-}

The Italian had opened and Aleskins three-bet to 18,500. Kanit four-bet all in and Aleskins snap-called.

"I love my life," said Kanit as he added his chips to his stack.

Zhang Flops Best to Eliminate Matuszewski

Level 13 : 1,000/2,500, 2,500 ante

Hubert Matuszewski was all in with {a-Hearts}{9-Spades} for his tournament life. He had flopped two pair on the {9-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds} but his opponent Chi Zhang had flopped a flush with {j-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}.

The turn {2-Clubs} and river {2-Diamonds} could not save Matuszewski and he was eliminated.

"You like the flop?" one of Zhang's tablemates asked him, and Zhang nodded.
